Responsibilities:
Verify equipment, inventory, and paperwork for the prescribed route. Perform the proper check-out procedures before accepting load. Perform any DOT or other company procedures before leaving company property.
Follow the daily route plan for product delivery. At the completion of the route, directly return to the designated check-in area at the branch. Park in the appropriate area, locking and securing the product and equipment.
Notify the Operations Manager or Warehouse Supervisor that the route is completed and the truck is ready for inspection. Verify all returning items and paperwork with the Warehouse Supervisor.

Provide staffing assistance in other department functional areas as needed
Attend to errands and other tasks as requested by management
Ensure general upkeep and cleanliness of shuttle fleet
Coordinate vehicle maintenance with staff Mechanic

Minimum Requirements:
High School graduate or equivalent. Ability to read and speak English as necessary for safety and recycling. Good self-starter and work with minimal supervision. Possess some knowledge of general recycling. Ability to interact with employees in a friendly, unobtrusive and informative manner. Ability to work with other department employees as part of a team. Must maintain current and valid Arizona CDL Driver's License as necessary. Must have a clean driving record. Safety sensitive position.

Summary
The Deer Valley Transportation Team has an immediate need for a Truckdriver A.
All drivers that transport materials, machinery, and equipment by operating Commercial Motor Vehicle that is subject to Federal and or State regulations utilizing a truck or tractor (with or without mounted equipment, piggyback forklift, or trailer) with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating greater than 26,000 pounds shall receive truck driver A rate of pay. The classification shall also include operators of traction units with tandem axle trailers, and those drivers who are driving trucks and operating mounted equipment (i.e., a hydro lift or hazmat trucks including tankers or refueling trucks) in conjunction with their duties.

The work hours for this position are Monday- Friday 6:00AM - 2:30PM (Day Shift)
Minimum Requirements:
Be at least 18 years of age.
Have a high school diploma or GED
Three (3) years Semi-Truck driving experience is required
Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker endorsement is required
Classification required to safely operate manual AND automatic transmissions.
Able to qualify as a DOT-CMV driver (Driver Qualification File)
One (1) year forklift experience
or APS Forklift Certification on file
Qualifying written and road tests will be given.
Must live within reasonable distance (one (1) hour) of headquarters
This position requires working with aerial equipment, which has weight restrictions of 300 lbs or less

Role Type
Onsite: Requires work to be performed in the field and/or at an APS facility. Depending on the responsibilities of the role, this may include, but is not limited to, working at a power plant, job site, or in the community.
Employees are expected to reside in Arizona (or New Mexico for Four Corners-based employees).
Role types are subject to change based on business need.
Eligibility:
Must live or relocate within reasonable distance to the headquarters. Reasonable distance is defined as one (1) hour for Metro and State Region locations. Reasonable distance for Troublemen, Local Representatives, and Substation Technicians is defined as thirty (30) minutes for Metro locations and forty-five (45) minutes for State Region locations. Failure to accept a job offer due to the reasonable distance requirement specific to the position will be counted toward the bid restriction as described in Article 13, Section 11
For jobs in departments (System, Reliability, Hotstick) that require the majority of the work be performed out-of-town and as such, employees/crews are not required to report to the established headquarters unless directed by Leadership; the reasonable distance requirement will be waived*.
