Job Overview Energy Management and Control System (EMCS) Unit is responsible for surveillance, operating, and controlling or correcting system parameters on utility and building environmental systems (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) which are connected to EMCS' centralized computer control workstations. Work Model: Onsite Responsibilities Essential Duties & Job Functions: * * Makes set-point adjustments to optimize operations and efficiencies and minimize costs, or to change the operating parameters of the systems, equipment, and equipment components due to changed conditions caused by emergencies, equipment malfunctions, changed requirements. * Ensures all set-points are within Air Force guidelines or standards. * Performs system-optimizing through the reading and logging of temperatures, pressures, humidity, and equipment status, and increases efficiencies through adjusting dampers, valves, control point settings, etc. * Performs duties of Customer Service Dispatcher during off-duty hours of the Production Control section such as and not limited to, loading service call or labor data into NEXGEN and CEMS. * Performs appropriate maintenance on all EMCS equipment located in the MacDill Energy Center. * Manages the necessary computer graphics to enhance or modify EMCS computer equipment or workstations. * Use radios and telephone communication to notify personnel of items such as; service calls, weather forecasts, flight line emergencies or requirements, and general information. * Utilizes email to notify personnel or supervisor. * Maintains EMCS operations logbook. * Updates labor using NexGen system. * Keeps records of service calls and work orders via NexGen and CEMS. * Generates word processing or spreadsheets for day-to-day functions or as a requirement from supervisor. * Responsible for timely reporting of accidents, injuries, and hazardous situations. * Perform all other work-related duties as assigned. Job Requirements Mandatory: * Monitors and responds to EMCS alarms by diagnosing abnormal operating conditions, remotely operates building and utility equipment in accordance with established schedules, and configures system parameters to support historical trending and performance analysis, and has experience with enterprise BAS/DDC platforms. * Computer proficiency. * High school graduate or equivalent. * Three (3) year similar verifiable experience. * Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional and courteous manner in diversified situations. * Able to work a rotational shift as business needs dictate. * Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. * Ability to acquire and maintain government identification/common access card. * Able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
