About the Role
Dyson Global Logistics is looking for an extraordinary Head of Logistics & Fulfilment to join our team, reporting directly into the VP Supply Chain Americas and dotted line into the Global Logistics function. The Head of Logistics & Fulfilment, West Hub is a key role in the Americas Supply Chain Hub (including US, Canada, Latin America) linking the global logistics function and strategy with the West Hub Supply Chain leadership teams.
The Head of logistics oversees the operations of the relevant logistics department, managing business relationships with internal stakeholders and external logistics services suppliers. The Head of Logistics supports the strategic planning of the organization by developing and executing short-to-medium range plans for the department from the overall strategy the Company and its Supply Chain Division. He/She oversees training, coaching, and developing the logistics team in the execution of the Company's transportation, warehousing and information system strategies.
The successful candidate will oversee will the operations of the relevant logistics department, managing business relationships with internal stakeholders and external logistics services suppliers. He/She will be responsible for the orchestration and management of 3PL partners, the execution of transformation programs, and as the escalation point between the global logistics function, intra-regional logistics leadership teams, and the 3PL account management teams relating to all inbound freight, ground transport, and fulfilment activity in the Americas.
Lead a matrix team of indirect reports responsible for the quality on-time delivery of products from source to distribution center and through to end users and customers.
Work closely with peers for the effective management of storage and transportation of inventory that meet both service and cost objectives, whilst increasing agility, and resilience.
Implementation of global logistics strategies into scalable business-as-usual models that optimize efficiencies.
Manage 3PL partners and ensuring the delivery of a comprehensive 3PL engagement plan that encompasses global and regional freight, warehousing, and transportation activity.
Is responsible for the strategic management and of inventory in transit and the strategy around minimum touch points, be that DC bypass or direct ship, to reduce lead times and carrying cost.
Partner and collaborate with indirect procurement to agree the best commercial propositions, including identifying opportunities for service excellence, continuous improvement, and the application of next generation innovation.
Implementation and leadership of the NSSoD (net satisfaction score on delivery) to measure our customer experience of logistics and trigger improvement plans.
Strategize, enable, and implement best-in-class B2C and B2C delivery strategies with an end-to-end mind set.
Acts as internal sponsor for the regional 3PL partners, acting as the senior SME focal point within the logistics organization, including guiding operational implementation, developing new areas of business, setting out joint strategies.
Maintains benchmarking and ongoing assessment processes for reginal 3PL partners to continuously improve.
Works closely with intra-regional logistics leadership teams to understand the need for local customization of globally agreed operating standards, refining as appropriate, including the administrative control and information flow.
Represents and contributes on behalf of the global logistics function as a workstream owner of new projects and initiatives.
Supports Global Logistics Excellence best-practice promotion and adopts value-add practices to constantly drive business process improvement.
Responsible for the delivery of cost-to-serve to budget initiatives and maintain accurate actual and forecasted cost management.

Works with regional logistics team and global freight to proactively manage inbound receipt, avoiding costs associated with detention & demurrage.
Monitors global standard KPIs that measure and track logistics performance, working in close collaboration with Dyson Logistics Performance management to drive continuous improvement.
Ensures stakeholder alignment, documents, and controls global freight and transport process and procedures, including intra-regional nuances for inbound logistics.
Ensures alignment from global 3PL service providers on standards and operating procedures from the point of selection.
Maintains a documented and implemented relationship development strategy for strategic partners that includes a continuous improvement and innovation framework and roadmaps.
Sets SMART objectives and KPIs that capture, measure and report on the service delivery, data quality and financial performance achieved by each regional 3PL provider.

About you
Supply chain or business related degree is desirable.
10+ years' operational logistics experience in relevant industries.
Ability to travel at short notice within the region, with some limited international travel possible.
Ability to effectively lead and manage diverse teams through direct or indirect reporting relationships.
Knowledge and experience of regional and international shipping and associated regulatory requirements (including safety, security, and import / export compliance law).
Knowledge and experience of warehouse operations (including safety, security, and legal compliance).
Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills including the ability to evaluate complex supply chain solutions and articulate these in an understandable way.

Duties and Responsibilities

Loading/unloading, delivery and receiving of equipment, product, and supplies at warehouses and event sites;

Inventory

Voluntary Action Center of Northern Illinois is seeking a dependable and compassionate part-time Vehicle Operator to join our team in Sycamore, IL. This role is well-suited for individuals interested in working 20-29 hours per week, with availability to drive Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., as needed.
As a Vehicle Operator, you'll provide safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation to our clients through a variety of services including paratransit, flex-route, and park & ride routes. Your role helps individuals access daily essentials like medical appointments, grocery stores, and community resources while promoting dignity and independence.
Key Responsibilities
Operate agency vehicles under various environmental conditions.
Assist passengers boarding, riding, and exiting vehicles, including those with mobility devices.
Collect fares, complete daily trip logs, and follow all safety procedures.
Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety.
Maintain a professional and courteous manner at all times.
Represent VAC with care, compassion, and integrity.

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid Illinois driver's license and a clean driving record.
The ability to obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
Ability to pass a DOT physical, background check, and drug screening.
Experience in transportation, public service, or similar field.
Familiarity with community routes and passenger assistance.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to safely assist passengers and secure mobility devices.
Detailed, organized, and capable of multitasking.
Team player who works well under pressure and with diverse populations.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands
Work is primarily performed in vehicles with occasional outdoor exposure.
Must be able to sit, stand, lift, push/pull (up to 50 lbs.), and assist with mobility devices.
Must meet DOT physical requirements and tolerate working in varying weather conditions.
Use of agency vehicles (buses, minivans), wheelchair lifts, radios, and tablets.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 1 year experience working in a warehouse, loading, unloading, picking product, and processing applicable paperwork preferably with scanning or technology background and/or exposure
Skills
