This data will lead to developing the next generation of digital maps to power mobile applications. As part of this project we are seeking people to operate and navigate the vehicles around the areas to be mapped in Cupertino and South Bay, CA areas. We are looking for Vehicle Mapping Operators (navigation AND the operation of the technical equipment) who are enthusiastic, friendly and safe. You will be working as part of a larger team so being personable is required. You will be driving public streets and areas, specifically commercial districts and historical sites, mapping a given area including all public streets, highways, and off and on ramps. At times this will require specific areas to be driven multiple times due to poor weather and/or lighting conditions. You should be comfortable working for long periods (approximately 8-10 hours per day) and have experience in operating/navigating in all situations: i.e. cities, freeways, suburban and rural. You should have a working knowledge of GPS and navigation applications. It can be parked in your private garage or in your personal driveway (the camera equipment will need to be removed each night and taken into your home (it is small) and the vehicle secured).

Experience: Four years of experience in water distribution and operations performing California State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) Distribution Operator Grade III duties, with at least two years of lead level experience similar to a Water Distribution Senior Operator.
Education: Equivalent to graduation from high school, supplemented by specialized training or college coursework related to water distribution operation and maintenance.
Training: Any recent training such as academic courses and certification programs, which are relevant to this job classification.
Certification: Requires possession and maintenance of a California State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) Distribution Operator Grade IV Certificate, a SWRCB Water Treatment Grade I Certification and an American Water Works Association (AWWA) Cross-Connection Control Specialist Certification at time of appointment. Operate and support vehicle functions using your driving expertise.

Requirements
