Job Summary: Operator is responsible for various chemical repackaging, manufacturing, and maintenance tasks in Thatcher Company's chlorine production facility. This role involves handling hazardous materials, operating equipment, and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
Job Responsibilities:
* Repackage chlorine, TChlor, and caustic soda into totes and drums
* Load trailers with TChlor, caustic soda, and chlorine tons
* Manufacture TChlor and caustic soda to specific percentages
* Perform maintenance tasks such as painting, washing, and bead blasting of 150's and tons
* Rebuild valves as needed
* Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols
* Maintain accurate documentation and records
* Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

The Blue Arena at The Ranch Events Complex, located in Loveland, Colorado, is a 6,800 seat multi-purpose venue, which opened in September 2003, and is home to the Colorado Eagles of the American Hockey League. The arena, which is owned by Larimer County, is managed by OVG the fastest growing firm in the public assembly facility management field with more than 300 facilities throughout the United States and Canada.
This multipurpose facility can host hockey, basketball, football, family shows in any configuration, rodeos, diverse concert settings in various capacities, trade shows and several dozen setups to accommodate just about any event. The Blue Arena, less than an hour's drive from Denver and Cheyenne, has become the focal point for sports and entertainment in Northern Colorado.
The Blue Arena is part of a larger 374,000 square-foot fairground complex called The Ranch which is the official name of the Larimer County Fairgrounds and Events Complex. Phase I of the project included 6 buildings and roughly 150 acres of site work. The Ranch includes the Mac Equipment, Inc. Indoor Arena, two livestock pavilions, the First National Bank Exhibition Building and the Thomas M. McKee Building. The Blue Arena and The Ranch has become the sports, entertainment, and agricultural hub for one of the fastest growing areas in the country.
Responsibilities
* Actively participate in the completion of facility-wide event setups and conversions
* Develop a wide array of specialized changeover skills, including setting up and breaking down basketball court, hockey glass, dashers, polar floor, risers, chairs, tables, and stages.
* Assist with overall cleaning of the building to ensure readiness for events.
* Provide housekeeping assistance during events.
* Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
* Must be 18 years or older at the time of application.
* Exhibit willingness to work a flexible schedule consisting of nights and weekends. Shifts regularly occur overnight.
* Work effectively in a heavily team-based environment.
* Be reliable, honest, dependable, and punctual.
* Possess knowledge of basic hand tools and their uses
* Essential Physical Functions:
* Good physical condition and health, sufficient strength and stamina needed for heavy, awkward, and repeated lifting of up to 50 pounds, capable of occasionally performing heavy manual labor.
* Ability to climb portable and fixed ladders up to 20 feet, access remote areas of the facility, work with hand and power tools, communicating via portable radio.
* Ability to work with and around water and ice and to work at or below freezing temperatures for extended periods of time.

Primary Location:

Forklift Operator: Drives a liquefied gas, gasoline, or electric powered forklift to load and unload material for delivery and production. This position will be responsible for the safe operation of equipment, and an understanding of company safety procedures, as well as ensuring accuracy of inventory count of product and materials.
* Must be able to lift 60 pounds.
* Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
* Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials or hooks tow trucks to trailer hitch, and transports load to designated area.
* Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
* Inventories materials on work floor/production line, and supply workers with materials as needed.
* Loads or unloads materials in accordance with load sheets or other appropriate directives.
* Records materials loaded and unloaded in accordance with established procedure.
* Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device.
* Lubricates truck, recharges batteries, or replaces liquefied gas tank.
* Wears Company provided uniform and required sanitation and safety devices as appropriate to comply with safety and sanitation standards for beverage production operations.

Minimum Qualifications
A valid Utah's Commercial Driver's License class A or B and a current Department of Transportation ( DOT ) medical card required. A minimum of two years experience operating commercial vehicles (over 26,000 lbs. GVW ) or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); occasional moving of heavy objects (up to 100 lbs. capability) experience; demonstrated customer services skills; and oral and written communications skills also required. Under the Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act of 1991, the incumbent is subject to drug and alcohol preemployment test and random screening thereafter.
