Summary Description:
Reporting to the department Manager, the Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of powered industrial trucks. Key Responsibilities:

About The Opportunity
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Forklift Operator to support our warehouse operation. In this role, you will safely operate a forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials in the facility. You are responsible for following safety regulations, keeping accurate inventory records, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Essential Functions:
1.Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
2.Demonstrate commitment to quality and perform job duties in adherence to GMP guidelines
3.Transport finished jobs or goods into correct areas
4.Move pallets of goods for jobs in process to appropriate area as needed
5.Place finished goods which are on a designated pallet to the correct location
6.Accurately complete forklift operator's checklist
7.Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues
8.Confer with managers to ensure coordination of other production lines
9.Occasionally conducts a physical inventory of all corrugated materials by performing cycle counts
10.Perform inventory audits on a daily basis or as needed
11.Maintain a clean and safe work area by moving empty pallets to a designated area, and by keeping neat, orderly and safe stacks of stock in storage areas
12.Maintain accurate location of stock in storage area by paperwork and computer.
13.Adhere to daily production schedule, and make recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality, delivery and service goals
14.Assist other forklift operators as necessary
15.Complete necessary reports and paperwork in an accurate and timely manner, including but not limited to: Production Data, Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, Quality Data
16.Assist supervisors on the production floor to maintain a safe work environment
17.Perform all functions accurately as required in our WMS system
18.Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors
19.The anticipated hourly range for the position is $16.50 - $22.00, depending on experience and qualifications.
20.This position is also eligible for a success share bonus and benefits package
Qualifications:
Forklift License required
High School diploma or equivalent desired
Prior work experience as a forklift operator required
Prior work experience in the corrugated industry preferred
Experience or training in the field of shipping, receiving or warehouse operations with some leadership responsibilities preferred.
Safety sensitive position - ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
The core hours for this position are 5:00AM - 1:30PM, M-F with some flexibility to troubleshoot issues on the weekends.
