Primary task is to receive orders from production lines and deliver requested materials and uses forklift to unload incoming cargo containers and move materials around the facility. Also must assist in month-end counting, accuracy verification and in maintaining the accuracy of inventory records. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Supports production lines: At start of shift, communicates with last shift to determine order sequence and completion * Receives order paperwork, incoming radio call, or in-person request for materials * Reviews order and/or writes down verbal order information on notepad * Orders needed PVC profile materials from extrusion * Obtains materials from North building (supply area), extrusion, receiving areas in South building, or elsewhere within the South building * Delivers materials to appropriate production line in a timely manner * Must prioritize orders and determine sequence of delivery * Must identify when to stop one task and begin another based on production needs * Unloads incoming materials from cargo containers in either building * Moves unused glass materials from staging area into waste container * Moves unused PVC materials from fabrication staging area to extrusion department for re-use * Must be able to clearly communicate with internal customers and record order information * Must be able to prioritize tasks according to production needs * Must be able to obtain and deliver materials in a timely fashion * Must be able to safely and effectively operate the forklift, using both hands and feet, as well as visual and auditory senses OTHER FUNCTIONS: * May assist with materials movement in other areas, outside scope of receiving/delivery, when asked * May assist receiving clerk or storekeeper, when asked * Completes and maintains production paperwork as needed per training * Punch time clock before and after shift to record time worked * Perform other duties as assigned Mental/Physical/Visual Demands: Must possess common sense, positive attitude, demonstrate excellent attendance and perform effectively under stress.
