POSITION OVERVIEW • Safely and efficiently operate various types of equipment, such as the Raymond Reach Truck, Raymond Pacer Truck, Order Picker and/or Sit-Down Lift. • Carton to pallet scanning will be used to efficiently offload cartons and ensure the accuracy of all cartons being offloaded from the Sorter. • Efficiently and accurately locate all palletized freight coming from various sort lanes simultaneously and locate them into storage locations in the warehouse. • Efficiently and accurately retrieve pallets from the storage locations in the warehouse and load them onto outbound trailers and well as oversee containers based on weight and customer requirements. • Adhere and practice 5S programs within the area while pursuing world-class excellence. • Understand, practice, and uphold all safety roles and responsibilities as designed. • Operate using DOCS, DStorage, Pick to Pallet, and RF Scanners • Ability to manage movement between off-loading, pallet put away, and pallet loading. • Ability and willingness to cross-train for additional flexibility between job functions across multiple areas and become interchangeable between departments. EXPERIENCE • Basic math and analytical skills. • Ability to consistently meet or exceed set productivity standards. • Above average ability to communicate both verbally and written with Supervisors and Co-Workers. • Able to stand, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms and lift up to 50 lbs. • 6 months or more experience in a fast paced warehouse environment a plus • Receive training in 40CFR 262.17 as applicable in the role. Primary Responsibilities Load and unload freight on trailers using a motorized forklift, pallet jack or manually in compliance with state and federal DOT guidelines. Use various loading techniques, such as loading tight or cross loading. Transport self and/or freight continuously throughout the service center on non-forgiving surfaces. Utilize Dock Yard Management System to consistently monitor freight shipment locations throughout the service center. Read and interpret shipping labels. Familiarity with, and in some cases ability to complete the various forms utilized in freight movement such as shipping orders, city stripping manifests, freight bills, overage/damage movement reports and exception forms. Hand load, rewrap or stack freight as necessary. Insure the quality loading of all trailers. Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies (e.g. pallets, straps, rope). PRIMARY WORK SHIFT: This position works a 12-hour schedule that rotates days of the week, 7PM-7AM. You must be able to work weekends and potentially some holidays. Join our dedicated snow operations team and play an important role in keeping the community safe and accessible during the winter season. We are looking for reliable Load Operators who are ready to step in when winter weather hits. In this on-call position, you'll operate loaders, skid steers, or similar heavy equipment to assist with snow clearing and storm preparation.
