Job Overview
Logistics Operator III is responsible for various assignments, duties, and tasks within the Warehouse which, may or may not require the use of a PIT Forklift to complete. These responsibilities may include pallet building; Inbound Unloading; Outbound Loading; Replenishment of the Pick Floor or Vertique Mezzanine Areas, and or the fulfillment of Customer Orders. This role will travel throughout the warehouse pick area to retrieve and stack specific products and quantities; per the Pick Ticket assigned while maintaining any determined expectations of safety, accuracy, and, or efficiency. This position performs other tasks assigned by Warehouse Management including, pallet stacking, handling damage restack and, or rework, stacking product, and picking up pallets with a Pallet Jack, when applicable.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Retrieve and place quantities of Cases of Product onto a pre-determined pallet as instructed by the assigned Pick Ticket, safely, building a stable pallet of product, while meeting or exceeding Warehouse, Company expectations in safety, accuracy, and efficiency
* Load outbound Product and, or Deposit items by transporting them from their assigned Storage Area within the Warehouse to the Loading Docks and placing them on the appropriate Trailers in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner
* Replenish Product to the Warehouse Pick and, or Vertique Mezzanine Areas by transporting such from their assigned Storage Areas within the Warehouse to their specific assigned Location (Bin) within the Pick and, or Vertique Mezzanine Area in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner
* Maintain cleanliness and safety of work area and warehouse, performs other tasks including pallet building as determined and requested by management
* May perform other duties as assigned

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while walking and repetitively lifting 30-75 lbs.

The Logistics Operator I will be involved in multiple tasks associated with logistics including but not limited to shipping, receiving, sample pulling, cycle counting, warehouse management, and material handling. This position interacts with Customer Service, Quality, Planning, Regulatory, Purchasing, Production, Accounting, and external Carriers and Auditors. Shift: 2-2-3 schedule 5 pm - 5:30 am (3rd shift) every other weekend.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain strict adherence to equipment SOPs, GMP standards, food & flavor regulations (kosher), and documentation requirements.
Adhere to all safety protocols, including use of engineering controls and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe workplace for all employees.
Assisting with the shipment of finished products to customers according to customer order requirements, ensuring accurate paperwork, labeling, and on-time delivery
Communicate effectively with Customer Service, Purchasing, Quality, Regulatory, Planning and Carriers on a daily basis or as needed
Assisting with receiving all raw materials and supplies into the warehouse, check condition of materials and accuracy of paperwork, and provide sample to Quality Control.
Maintain inventory integrity and good housekeeping in the warehouse.
Material sample pulling to support R&D and Quality business needs.
Cycle counting
Responsible for adding waste to a satellite accumulation container, labeling, sampling and transporting hazardous waste.
Other duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
1-2 years of shipping, receiving, and warehouse experience preferred.
Forklift and Dangerous Goods (hazmat) experience preferred. (Training will be provided)
Flavor industry desired.
Strong computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office and ERP systems required.

Reports to the corresponding Warehouse Supervisor and is responsible for moving product or materials in a production or warehouse environment using powered tools and vehicles.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Operate industrial vehicles and equipment.
Loads and unloads product from trucks. Transports materials to and from storage areas throughout warehouse.
Floor stacks unitized materials in warehouse. Places unitized materials into storage racks.
Delivers requisitioned materials to assembly areas. Records all transactions by scanning product with barcode reader.
Transports trash from various locations throughout plant and delivers it to the proper location.
Assists in the breaking down and restacking of pallets on receipt, when necessary.
Performs daily pre-start check of forklift and completes check list form.
