The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating and managing industrial trucks to load and unload materials, deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks, into trucks or storage facilities for the Production department.

Manufacturing Operations and Production:
Supply production lines with raw product and other needed production material.
Keep production lines with needed product and material.
Obtain copy of production schedule or shipping order and transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility.
Move goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility.
Stack goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control standards.
Inspect loads are secure.
Stack empty pallets.
Perform daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck's battery and lubricating equipment.
Remove machine attachments and waste material from machines.
Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
Dump materials into machine hoppers.
Ensure that Forklifts and Electric Pallet Jacks are maintained on a periodic basis.
Determine and report the need for machinery repairs.
Assist with Packing and Palletizing.
Workforce Management:
Maintain a high level of morale among employees:

The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The Operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform Order Filler and Checker duties.
The job will include, but not be limited to:
Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations.
Efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate areas.
Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality
variances.
Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas into storage locations.
Load, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials using a forklift, clamp truck,or other power equipment. Use radio frequency equipment for picking, receiving, putaway, and load functions, as required.
Maintain the facility's equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
On a daily basis, inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment.
Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
Returning undelivered product to their proper inventory locations.
Moving and stacking product for the purpose of conducting physical inventory.
Perform the cleaning and maintenance duties as may be directed by the warehouse supervisor.
Observes safe product handling techniques. Cooperates with supervisors and peers alike.
Hand stacking product in a specific sequence and location to ensure proper rotation.
Assist in physical inventories and cycle counting as directed.
Various other duties, as assigned.
Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained.
Assist in physical inventories. Ensure proper stock rotation.
Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety. Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards.
Minimum Requirements:

1-2 years of forklift operation experience in a fast paces warehouse environment
Must be able to take directions in English.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Knowledge of general business computer software and aptitude to learn new software applications.
