The Customer Relations Specialist will register participants, complete data entry, and respond to inquiries received by phone, web, and e-mail for the National Inventors Hall of Fame's (NIHF) Camp Invention STEM enrichment programs. This is an on-site, seasonal position until July 2026, with the potential to return each year!
January to June: 20 - 40 hours a week
July: 15 - 30 hours a week
Rate: $15.00/hour
Position Responsibilities:
Develop a comprehensive understanding of NIHF's stem enrichment programs
Accurately respond to customer inquiries by providing program information, locations, and pricing
Assist customers in navigating the Camp Invention website to register participants online and over the phone
Problem analysis and resolution
Customer follow-up and attention to detail for providing superior customer support
Accurately and efficiently enter and process events and registrations
Research and resolve customer-related issues in a timely and professional manner
Have a passion for the company mission, and incorporate that excitement into customer interactions
Soft sales skills; deliver a prepared sales script to persuade potential customers to register their child while on the phone or in chat sessions, incorporate a sense of urgency, and increase camp donations
Record details of inquiries, comments, complaints, and actions steps taken to bring about resolution
Process requests for transfers, cancellations, refunds, and receipts
Identify and escalate priority issues
Periodic filing of customer service paperwork
Communicate and coordinate with internal departments as assigned
Perform other related duties as they roll over to connective departments; work directly with the sales team for support

Position Summary:
Provide timely holistic care coordination to children enrolled in OhioRISE, with appropriate expertise to coordinate behavioral, medical, and pharmacy health services, including for children with dual diagnoses (BH/IDD).
Will use a wraparound-informed model for members with moderate behavioral health needs.
Key Responsibilities and Activities:
Use clinical, operational, and technical expertise to manage and provide MCC care coordination.
Manage 1915 (c) home and community-based waiver service coordination within federal requirements.
Work cooperatively with the CFT and share responsibility for developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluation a single child and family-centered plan.
Actively grow and leverage partnerships with other (non-health) child-serving systems.
Conduct outreach to the child's family within one business day of referral to MCC.
Complete and submit child and family-centered care plans (initial, changes, transitions) to the OhioRISE plan for review and approval according to standards.
Respond to member needs twenty-four hours a day.
Approach to Tier 2 Care Coordination
Provide structured service planning and care coordination based on wraparound principles, as established by the National Wraparound Initiative including:
An initial home-based, comprehensive assessment resulting in the development of the child and family-centered care plan.
A CANS assessment once every 180 calendar days or whenever there is a significant change in the member's behavioral health needs or circumstances.
Convening and facilitating the child and family team.
Developing a crisis safety plan.
Reviewing the child and family-centered care plan every thirty days or whenever there is a significant change in the member's needs or circumstances.
Monitoring the child and family centered care plan.
Performing referrals and linkages to appropriate services along the continuum of care.
Ratio of one MCC to no more than twenty-five OhioRISE members receiving MCC services.
Education and qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years' experience in children's mental health, child welfare, developmental disabilities, juvenile justice, or a related public sector human services or behavioral health care field, providing community-based services to children and youth, and their family/caregivers.
Background and experience in one or more of the following areas of expertise: family systems, community systems and resources, case management, child and family counseling/therapy, child protection, or child development.
Be clinically and culturally competent/responsive with training and experience necessary to manage complex cases in the community across child-serving systems.
Have the qualifications and experience needed to work with children and families who are experiencing SED, trauma, co-occurring behavioral health disorders and who are engaged with one or more child-serving systems (e.g., child welfare, juvenile justice, education)
MCC care coordinators will complete the high-fidelity wraparound training program provided by an independent validation entity recognized by ODM. Care coordinators will successfully complete skill and competency-based training to provide MCC.
Complete the state-required training program provided by the COE.

As an entry-level Sales Associate / Cashier at Goodwill Industries of Akron, you are the face of our agency! You play a vital role in supporting our mission of providing services to the community. While people love our organized stores and affordable merchandise, they wouldn't keep coming in if it weren't for the exceptional customer service that they experience every single time!

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Manage: staff and day-to-day operations at Root House. Develop programming to facilitate and support recovery. Provide counseling services and case management services to SUD and Mental Health clients in need of treatment services.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develops, implements and evaluates program goals and objectives, ensures quality-of-service delivery to the community through monitoring and supervision.
2. Facilitate intakes and make decisions about clients entering Root House.
3. Program coordination with referral sources including Portage County courts, JFS, MHRBs, etc.
4. Develop and implement new programming.
5. Recruits, hires, trains, supervises and evaluates shift staff, peer support workers, therapists and case managers and oversees staff development and training.
6. Completes Diagnostic Assessment and provide treatment for clients in need of services, following licensure standards.
7. Attend staff and clinical meetings.
8. Builds financial and in-kind support for program through local resource development and community education. Oversee all solicitations and acceptance of donated goods and services to program. Adequately acknowledges donors.
9. Complete required reports according to program and agency reporting requirements in a timely manner.
10. Ensure program achievement and assist in creating and maintaining a positive program image in the community.
11. Develop and maintains ongoing collaboration with partner agencies.
12. Maintains shelter buildings, equipment, supplies and grounds.
13. Represent agency on service provider networks, coordinating bodies, and in the general community.
14. Comply with agency policies and procedures, COA regulations, federal and state requirements, and educational/certification/registry requirements.
15. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Knowledge of family, community, and human service issues, organizational functioning and operations.
2. Valid Ohio Driver's License and ability to meet agency requirements for driving insurability.
3. Must be able to meet agency requirements for criminal background check (Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification & Investigation).
4. Supervisory knowledge.
5. The Program Manager is required to have the following skills with a general client population, interview methods, individual and group therapy methods, knowledge and techniques for treatment of addictions.

Maintains knowledge of current schemes and determines impact to the plan. Ensures the SIU processes and procedures reflect current industry norms.
Formal Education Required:
a. Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience & Training Required:
a. Five (5) years Fraud, Waste and Abuse identification and investigation.
b. Special Investigations Unit (SIU) experience in a managed care setting.
Essential Functions:
1) Works within industry groups, and known fraud, waste and abuse (FWA) data repositories to ensure a current knowledge and understanding of FWA schemes and industry practices.
2) Performs data mining to determine if identified FWA schemes are impacting the plan, summarize those findings and make recommendations for action including reporting and prevention. Documents all findings, decisions, and actions.
3) Maintains working knowledge of relative enterprise and local information systems, databases, data schemas, software packages, and business operations to facilitate precise, reliable and accurate fulfillment of information needs related to corporate operations.
4) Maintains employee, provider and member education as it relates to FWA.
5) Investigates assigned cases of FWA including coordinating and conducting on-site and desk-top audits, member and stakeholder interviews, outlier billing identification, contract and regulatory guidance analysis.
6) Manages the SIU prepay review process which includes requesting the implementation of prepay reviews, organizing the records, and reviewing submitted records or sending to the appropriate area for a medical/coding review.
7) Complies with SIU Policies and procedures as well as goals set by SIU leadership.
8) Prepares SIU documentation for arbitrations, legal procedures, and settlements.
9) Recommends claim handling based on medical record review and compliance with industry standard claim coding (CPT, HCPCs, ICD10. etc,) and payment policies.
10) Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
