This is an entry-level position responsible for operating vibratory finishing equipment, abrasive blasting machines, parts dryers, air tools for grinding, and additional machinery used to remove burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections. The Machine Operator ensures parts are processed to company standards, maintains a clean and safe workspace, and supports overall shop productivity.Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Operation & Workflow Operate vibratory finishing machines, abrasive blasting equipment, parts dryers, scales, and air-powered grinding tools. Material Handling & Safety Safely operate a Hilo/forklift (including units with special attachments) to move heavy containers. Adhere strictly to all safety procedures, including proper equipment use, PPE requirements, and safe lifting practices. Never report to work under the influence of drugs or alcohol and refrain from their use during work hours. Teamwork & Collaboration Work effectively with team members, especially in crowded shared equipment areas. Assist coworkers during downtime between loads and participate in cross-training efforts across equipment and processes. Support a positive, productive work environment through strong communication and teamwork. Housekeeping & Shop Maintenance Maintain a clean, organized work area throughout the day. Mop floors, sweep, and ensure all items on the daily housekeeping checklist are completed before shift end. Participate in rotating responsibilities, such as maintaining assigned shop areas, supporting the water-treatment system, or cleaning and stocking the bathroom. Break & Time Management Use up to 40 minutes of paid break time appropriately, following company guidelines. Breaks must not exceed 30 minutes and cannot be taken within the last two hours of the shift. Use downtime productively-prepare the next load, help coworkers, or clean; phone use is only allowed if all work is complete. Job Description We are seeking a Plastics Machine Operator to maintain the machine and ensure the machine is creating high quality products at a Tier 1 Automotive facility. No experience required for the Plastics Machine Operator position. The Plastics Machine Operator will pick up plastic parts on a conveyor belt, checking for visual quality defects, labeling the parts and walking them over to a workstation. Shift(s) Available for Plastics Machine Operator: 1st Shift: 7:00am - 3:00pm ($15.50/hr) 2nd Shift: 3:00pm - 11:00pm ($15.50/hr + $.50 shift premium incentive=$16.00/hr) 3rd Shift: 11:00pm - 7:00am ($15.50/hr + $1.50 shift premium incentive = $17.00/hr) Requirements Job Duties and Requirements for the Plastics Machine Operator : Visually inspect parts for defects. Wiping, labeling, and sorting parts. Keep records of reject and approved parts. Cutting off excess plastic. Printing labels and labeling boxes. Excellent communication skills (Written and Verbal).
