Job Description Rail Silo Level and Unloading Expectations · Under the direction of the Production Lead or Team Leader Area Production charge the bulk silos with ingredients according to the daily pumping plan. Includes the pumping of bulk railcars and coordinating the pumping of bulk trucks. · Maintain the daily bulk silo inventory at the following minimum level averages: o S1100 - 180,000lbs o S1200 - 180,000lbs o S1300 - 320,000lbs o S1400 - N/A (bulk truck unload only) o S1500 - 250,000lbs o S1600 - 315,000lbs o S13010 - N/A (bulk truck unload only) o S13020 - N/A (bulk truck unload only) · Complete the pumping of all railcars within the time parameters as follows: o IG0017 - less than 12 hours total pump time o IG0006 - less than 10 hours total pump time o IG0241 - less than 8 hours total pump time · Ability to maximize railcar pumping efficiency by utilizing all 3 railcar unload blowers simultaneously. · Able to completely aerate a railcar in less than 8 hours. · Sample all newly placed railcars within the same shift. · Ability to maintain railcar unload pumping pressures above 13psi on average. · Responsible for coordinating all railcar switching and new railcar line-ups. · Communicate with BNSF during railcar switching to ensure effective and efficient railcar placement. · Responsible for accurate ticketing and scanning of bulk ingredients. · Remain at the bulk unload area at all times during a railcar switch. Indoor Silo Level and Unloading Expectations · Under the direction of the Production Lead or Team Leader Area Production you will be in charge of filling major, minor bins and rework bins with ingredients according to the daily transfer plan. · Maintain the daily Major and Minor bins inventory at the following minimum level averages: o Major 1 - 16,000lbs o Major 2 - 8,000lbs o Major 3 - 8,000lbs o Major 4 - Maintain level at Supervisor/Leads request. o Major 5 - Maintain level at Supervisor/Leads request. o Major 6 - Maintain level at Supervisor/Leads request. o Major 7 - 8,000lbs o Major 8 - Maintain level at Supervisor/Leads request. o Minor 1 - 8,000lbs o Minor 2 - 8,000lbs o Minor 3 - 8,000lbs o Minor 4 - Maintain level at Supervisor/Leads request. o Minor 5 - 8,000lbs o Minor 6 - Maintain level at Supervisor/Leads request. o Minor 7 - Maintain level at Supervisor/Leads request. · Ability to maximize transfer efficiency by utilizing all 5 transfer blowers simultaneously. · Responsible for coordinating all rework bin usage. · Coordinate with warehouse when Crane 1 is out of service. · Responsible for accurate ticketing and scanning of ingredients. · Responsible for directing forklift driver to get ingredients in a timely manner. · Be able to multi task efficiently when using all 7 transfer hoppers to maintain all bins full. · Be able to manage your breaks and lunch to maximize transfer efficiency. · Keep the walkie stacker charging at all times when not in use. · Inspect grates of all transfer hoppers at the beginning and end of each shift. Record Keeping · Maintain detailed railcar and bulk truck pumping time logs · Must be able to completely fill out all railcar and bulk truck paperwork. · Responsible for accurately recording and maintaining bulk truck sampling time(s), bulk truck pumping delay times, bulk truck start pumping times, bulk truck end pumping times, bulk truck total time on-site, and detailed explanations relating to bulk trucks on-site for more than 2 hours. · Interaction with the HMI computer required. · Effective use of RF scanning guns to initiate inventory transactions into the process control system. · Maintain other logs as required. Housekeeping, GMP's, and Policy · Performance of HACCP checks and accurate record keeping. · Know the difference between allergen and non-allergen products and follows the allergen separation policy. · Follow Good Manufacturing Practices and food safety policies. · Comply with all safety regulations, including Lockout and Confined Space procedures. · Report all accidents/injuries and unsafe working conditions to management. · Safely use heavy material handling equipment such as the portable railcar ladder and the railcar winch. · Ensure that all hoses and fittings are properly sealed at all times. · Ensure that all tools and equipment are properly stored when not in use. · Keep the railcar unload area, bulk truck unload area, and silo pad (including silo interiors) neat, clean, and orderly. · Other sanitation duties as required to maintain a clean and safe environment. Additional Skills and Expectations · Anticipate ingredient usage and aerate any affected railcars ahead of the ingredient demand. · Possess a deep knowledge and understanding of the railcar unloading process and have a high ability to troubleshoot problems with minimal to no help. · Use FIFO methodology combined with the daily/weekly bulk pumping plan to ensure that all railcars on site are pumped in the order in which they are received. · Must be forward thinking and possess a high ability to plan and execute multiple tasks at once. · Elevated attention to detail. · Exhibits ability to consistently and accurately process verbal and/or written instructions. · Prioritize multiple tasks to maximize work efficiency. · Report immediately any defective or broken tools or equipment. · Ability to pass CBB gas mask fit testing requirements and be certified by CBB to properly handle and dispose of phostoxin or related media. · Effectively communicate rail related updates to plant supervision and on-coming shifts. · Complete non-rail related tasks when necessary. · Accomplish other related work as required. Basic & Preferred Qualifications · High School diploma or equivalent; or up to three months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. · Basic mathematical skills. Let's explore the possibilities together. Job Description The Forklift Operator is responsible for ensuring that our finished product is moved within our warehouse in a safe and efficient manner. Forklift duties include but are not limited to driving a forklift in a freezer warehouse, ensuring safety of equipment being used, transporting finished product in the warehouse, pulling finished product for loading of trailers, preparing trailers for loading, and loading trailers adhering to proper procedure. Ensuring facility maintenance through good housekeeping practices. Qualifications Key Accountabilities Ability to work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for position Ability to read, write, communicate, and comprehend written instructions in English Ability to drive forklifts including stand-up, sit-down, hi-lift, and tandems.
