In this hands-on position, you'll contribute to the reliability and performance of our systems by performing essential checks, supporting manufacturing operations, and ensuring every piece of equipment meets our high standards for safety and quality. You'll also help drive continuous improvement by using TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) tools and sharing insights that enhance efficiency and service.
How You'll Make an Impact:
Reviews filling and packaging instructions at beginning of line runs. Ensures that the correct packaging materials are available.
Operates filling and packaging equipment continually. Types of equipment could include filler, bar coders, ink jet printer, hand wrenches, hand stamps, palletizers, and lid presses. Adjusts equipment to control weight, closures, or other as required by the specifications.
Performs all operations on the lines, including loading lines with empty containers, labeling, filling, capping, bar coder generation, taking samples, keeping area clean and organized and other related activities.
Continuingly identify opportunities for system and process waste elimination
Completes and documents activities that measure quality and productivity in an accurate and timely manner. This could include taking weights and performing basic quality tests. Enters results on paper or in computer.
Assists with line changeover, including the collection of wash water.
Maintains a clean and safe work environment.

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range:

Job Description
The Machine Operator may be assigned to the embossing, sealing, or inspection departments to support the needs of the business. In this role, you will be assigned to 3rd shift, Monday - Friday 11:00PM - 7:30AM. Training for this position will take place on 1st Shift. The extruder operator is responsible for running and maintaining a quality product. The operator must be proficient in making necessary adjustments and judgements to consistently produce product within quality specifications at or above productivity targets: line speed, uptime, and yield. The operator will at all times observe safety, HACCP/AIB/SQF guidelines and policies.

Your Role at KIK
Join our team as an experienced Machine Operator managing production equipment including fillers, case packers, cappers, case sealers, palletizers and labelers. The scope of this role is to ensure the efficient and accurate filing of products into containers, adhering to specific volume and weight requirements, and maintain the highest standards of quality and filler operator works with the packaging end of a production line.
