Position Overview: The Machine Operator will set up and manage machines (calibration, clean, adjust speed, test, repair, etc.), feeding raw materials and parts into semi-automatic machinery. They will inspect parts for precision and catch any flaws, fixing issues as needed. The Operator will keep records of products and units. The operator will also deliver materials to job sites as needed.
Essential Functions:
* Fabricate and alter materials needed for projects which includes:
* Read fabrication tickets and select appropriate materials
* Cutting, bending, and shaping metal using appropriate machinery and tools
* Welding, bolting, riveting, and sauntering using appropriate machinery and tools
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse including straightening, trash collection, etc
* Support fulfillment of load lists for jobs and staging of materials bound for job sites
* Assist Warehouse Manager with maintenance and management of warehouse inventory as needed
* Deliver materials to job sites

Teflon coat rings and plates as required

Remove part from mold and at the proper time trim and de-flash as required

Machine Operator- Polishing 2nd Shift
A machine operator loads and unloads metal lock parts onto moving or handheld equipment for any of the fabrication or finishing areas
What You Will Do:
Job Responsibilities
Performs repetitive fine pinching with both hands between hip and shoulder height to place metal lock parts on metal prongs frequently.
Visually examines individual metal lock parts for proper color, finish, and damage constantly.
Performs repetitive upward pulling with both hands between hip and shoulder height to remove metal lock parts from metal prongs frequently.
Rotates between the loading and unloading stations as required.
Lifts, using proper technique, 10-to-35-pound tubs or racks of metal lock parts from floor to shoulder height occasionally.
Wears required protective safety equipment and appropriate gloves at all times within the shop.
Demonstrates knowledge of proper hazardous chemical handling procedures, chemical labeling and Manufacturer's Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) at all times.
Operates simple machinery with dual hand controls as required.
Assists the Machine Operator by recording production details, such as part numbers, finish numbers and part quantities as required.
Operates a hand pallet jack to manually relocate parts between storage and work areas as required.
Uses hand tools to assist the Machine Operator with change overs as required.
Assists the Machine Operator with preventive maintenance, such as oiling or greasing moving parts or cleaning tanks as needed.
Maintains workstation and department in a clean and safe condition daily.
What You Need to Succeed:
Demonstrates good eye/hand coordination.
Demonstrates quick, accurate decision-making capabilities.
Handles/comes in contact with all types of metal (brass, bronze, zinc, stainless steel, chrome and nickel).
Safely works around hazardous chemicals like chrome, nickel and acids while wearing required safety equipment.
Operates a pallet jack.
Writes English alpha and numeric characters clearly.
Understands written and spoken English.
Performs basic addition and subtraction mathematical calculations.

Compensation:
This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.
The expected Base Hourly Range: $15.14- $26.82. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Preferred Computer and Software Skills : Knowledge of processing methods and laboratory techniques and equipment operation. Proficiency with MS Office.
Additional Requirements:
Knowledge of processing methods and appropriate planning techniques. Problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
