Summary
This position is responsible for setting up and operating a variety of machine tools, fits and assembles parts to fabricate or repair machine tools and maintain industrial machines by performing the following duties.
Job Description
Individuals in this position must:
Follow all plant safety policies and procedures. Be actively involved in safety, participate in safety programs, engaged in safety activities, perform risk assessments and demonstrate ownership as well as leadership in personal safety and the safety of other team members.
Observes and listens to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunction and determine need for adjustment or repair.
Owns Cutting system up to sliver removal
Dismantles machine or equipment to examine parts for defects or to remove defective part.
Replaces defective part with new part.
Assembles and test operates machine to verify correction of malfunction.
Performs maintenance on and cleans pieces of equipment.
Keep daily logs and records all pertinent information (any foreign material found, defects in equipment, shut downs, etc.)
Cutter Deck Operator will provide breaks to ADR Operator.
May be required to used 2 way radio.
Required to use a computer touch screen to monitor and control equipment.
Follow good housekeeping practices and GMP's.
Wear required PPE.
Actively participate in AMD activities
Perform any other duties as assigned by a Team Leader

Washington Beef is Agri Beef Co.'s state-of-the-art processing plant located in Toppenish, Washington. Job DescriptionDescription:
The Department of Energy (DOE) Hanford Field Office (HFO) requires general support services
for the AMWTP. WTP AM/division requires one (1) part-time equivalent (PTE) general support
contractor 320 labor hours) to provide support in the following areas:
? Participate in the engineering review for design, operational assumptions, likely
maintenance and reliability for the Glass Former Chemical (GFC) components at WTP.
? Advise and inform the Federal staff and share as guided by Federal Staff with the WTP
Contractor. The contractor is assumed to have a broad base of experience with
commercial glass dry materials handling and batch house designs and operations. This
experience should be from personal experience in 6-30MT/day sized operations.
? The Contractor will advise Federal Staff participating in design oversight of the GFC as to
likely or experienced impacts to plant operations from the subtleties of the WTP
Contractor's opinions advanced from their largely conceptual experience in continuous
glass manufacturing.
? Utilize excellent writing and communication skills in all interactions.
Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with
established criteria. The Contractor shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and
professional manner. The Contractor employee shall submit a weekly report to the technical
monitor addressing work accomplished, and deliverable progress.
Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Contractor personnel shall possess the following minimum qualifications:
? Education - BS/BA degree in Ceramic Engineering. In addition, an excess of twelve (12)
years of experience as a substitute for PhD.
? At least 30 years of experience in Glass Technology - Raw Material Specifications, Batch
Formulation for desired glass chemistry and physical properties, Glass Quality target
definitions for maximizing production and reducing manufacturing costs, and Furnace
Operations - Monitoring of day-to-day plant operating data.
? Experience with researching and navigating complex federal regulations tied to
Environmental Issues associated with compliance for furnace air emissions (NOX. SOX &
Particulate) and hazardous waste disposal of refractory flue debris. Mandatory cullet
recycling content compliance.
? Recognition of professional accomplishments as evidenced by appointment to Fellow
status in the American Ceramic Society, Society of Glass Technology, or Glass Problems
Conference Advisory Board.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & CAPABILITIES
? Experience with continuous glass manufacturing plant operations.
? Proven track record of success in Glass Technology, Batch Formulation, Quality target
definitions for maximizing production and reducing manufacturing costs, Furnace Design
- Refractory selection, Furnace Rebuilds, Furnace Operations, Environmental Issues
associated with compliance for furnace air emissions (NOX. SOX & Particulate) and
hazardous waste disposal of refractory flue debris, and Customer Service Issues” relating
to glass properties influencing customer acceptance such as chemical durability, glass
color, defect reductions (seeds, blisters, stones, inhomogeneities, etc.).
? Possession of an advanced degree or additional certifications in Ceramic Engineering.
? Comprehensive understanding of the Hanford Site vitrification mission needs in
common glass manufacturing processes.
? As needed, will be counseled by Federal Staff in DOE's program management practices,
policies, and procedures.
? Familiarity with, or ability to quickly learn and utilize, various technology management
tools used at Hanford.
? Exceptional communication skills.
? Proficient in Microsoft 365.
? Expert-level proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
REQUIRED TRAINING (OTHER THAN HGET)
? The contractor shall maintain eligibility for escorted site access.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
? Weekly status report emailed to the technical monitor at the end of each week. The
weekly report shall be as detailed as requested by the technical monitor.
? Non-Disclosure/Conflict of Interest form signed by both the general support contractor
and authorized contractor representative must be submitted to procurement before
any work/support can start.
? Identification of any conflicts, potential conflicts, or perceived conflicts of interest with
any Hanford Site contractors.
? Compliance with site specific safety and security requirements, including badging and
office protocols.
? U.S. Citizenship
