Duties & Responsibilities: Set up (assemble & disassemble), change over, operate, monitor, and adjust equipment on vertical form and fill and seal packaging equipment to meet all finished pouch quality specification and production requirements. Disassemble, clean, and sanitize packaging & support equipment using designated cleaning chemicals following documented safety LOTO and cleaning procedures for product changeovers. This can include removing knives, steam cleaning jaws and fill tubes, and flushing the hopper and holding tank using cleaning chemicals. Requires use of protective equipment and works with hazardous chemicals. Perform and document quality checks to include brix, viscosity, temperature, fill weight, production reports, compression test, drain weight, chart recorders, and metal detector. Collect necessary samples for QC and Lab testing as needed.
