What You Will Be Doing:
Move glass from, tables, furnace, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates for eight or more hours, daily
Transport of materials including glass from one position/location to another to expedite the production process
Read and attach appropriate labels and tags to product
Quality inspection, operating equipment, and/or manually maneuvering equipment
Understand layout of the facility to ensure proper product flow
Perform different job functions on a rotating basis
Inspect product for any abnormalities and notifying supervisor immediately of any issues (fabrication issues, logo placement, etc.)
Maintain a safe and clean work area
Regular and predictable attendance, the ability to safely perform tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of your job
What will you be doing:
Must be at least 18 years old

Ensure continuous and efficient operation of the assigned technology
Perform technical/maintenance interventions (process settings, adjustments, fixing machine problems, planned maintenance, etc) to achieve and improve the targeted KPIs (safety, quality, delivery, cost).
Analyze, record and resolve technical problems, breakdown and quality issues by performing root cause analysis using the troubleshooting systems and tools (e.g. IPS, UPS, BDE)
Execute all activities related to machines starts/stops and blend/brand changes, preventive, planned, and reactive maintenance to ensure product integrity.
Comply to quality procedures concerning PMI quality program
Maintain the designated pieces of production equipment, machine, and surrounding area in conformance with good housekeeping procedures.
Apply 5S rules in daily activities
Analyze machine performances and equipment conditions and suggest improvements via problem solving and Lean methodology and tools (e.g. PDCA) and respecting Change Management procedure.
Propose ideas, participate and/or lead the implementation of solutions to improve the quality and/or efficiency of machines and products.
Provide all relevant information to the smooth running of production in/between teams, as well as to the support group and project managers in order to ensure optimal monitoring of the problems encountered and to share experiences and knowledge in order to continually increase competences and expertise
Apply all rules concerning PMI Quality, environment, health and safety. Report all situations requiring actions in order to minimize or eliminate risks exposure to personnel, company assets, and societal impacts and be in line with or ahead of any applicable Law requirements and Company standards.

FilterEasy is setting up the first plastics extrusion line in the facility and is looking for a collaborative team member to help set up the new machinery and establish production methods and practices for the area. The Extrusion Machine Operator is the designated owner of the extrusion and stamping line. This role is accountable for the line's setup, safe operation, light maintenance, process control, and output quality. The operator serves as the key team member for daily production activities and is expected to operate the cell to hit production goals, meet quality standards, maintain the machinery in good working order, and train secondary operators.

Cleans and maintains work area, process equipment, tools and safety supplies according to regulatory and Company standards and operating procedures.

Must handle average to heavy weight materials (50lbs) by hand. Material handling devices (e.g., hand truck, fork truck, and conveyors) are used when possible but use of proper lifting and movement techniques is necessary to prevent injury.
Must be able to physically climb stairs/ladders, roll drums, lift and pour bags of raw materials, drive forklifts and perform first aid.
Large quantities of corrosive, flammable, and toxic materials are present in the plant. Layers of protection are in place to maintain a safe work environment, but the presence of these materials/chemicals is inherently hazardous.
Must be able to work rotating 12 hours/day shift and overtime as needed.
Mandatory overtime is necessary to keep plant staffed to safe levels. The mandatory overtime is handed out to the shift on “long-off” (7-Day Break).
May be required to wear a full-face respirator contingent upon required job duties.

Must handle average to heavy weight materials by hand. Material handling devices (e.g., hand truck, for truck, and conveyors) are used when possible but use of proper lifting and movement techniques is necessary to prevent injury.
Must be able to physically climb stairs and evacuation ladders, rolling drums, lifting and pouring bags of raw materials, driving forklifts, climbing and entering reaction vessels and perform first aid.
Injuries could result from spills or leaks of corrosive flammable, and toxic material, all of which are normally handled in the plant

This Position reports to:
Production Supervisor
Your Role and Responsibilities
Assembles machinery, fabricated metal products, electrical equipment, appliances, and more according to directions.
Reads blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation, then builds to those specifications.
Uses various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
Maintains logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies.
Maintains equipment and conveyors and performs basic repairs when needed.
Inventories tools, parts, and supplies; contacts materials handler if supplies are needed.
Periodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any identified problems and alerts supervisor.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Overtime is required
Qualifications for the Role
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Knowledge and use of tools - tape measure, screwdriver, battery operated tools, etc.
Knowledge of hardware arrangements - nuts, bolts, screws, etc.
Knowledge of 5S - sort, set, shine, standardize, and sustain
Knowledge and use of necessary PPE
Ability to read and interpret engineering job spec sheet, connection diagrams, bill of materials, and standard assembly drawings
Ability to use crane or other lifting devices, as needed
Ability to use and work with hand tools
Ability to safely use a ladder while performing the job, as needed
Ability to lift, push and pull up to 40lbs
Ability to speak, read, and write the English Language
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple or basic instructions
Basic computer skills to be able to look up parts based on bill of materials
Basic mathematical skills
Basic communication skills
Hand, eye coordination skills and use of both hands
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
