Job Scope:
* Program, set up, and run a variety of Mazak machine tools using Mazatrol programming.

* Maintain machine shop equipment and perform routine maintenance.
* Train and assist coworkers in the proper and safe operation of equipment.

Requirements:

**What is the job about?**
The **Machinist II** role requires complete set-up including advanced editing, programming and operation of computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines including vertical, horizontal and multi-axis machining centers, manual machines, lathes and mills.
This position reports directly to the 1st shift Production Supervisor and will operate daily out of the **Indianapolis, IN** facility (primarily Mon-Fri, 6am-2:30pm).

**_Your main responsibilities:_**
+ Inspect area in accordance with 5S principles
+ Insure daily machine and crane PMs are being completed.
+ Understand SAP confirmations and insure process is followed.
+ Study blueprints, drawings, specifications, etc. to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
+ Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers.
+ Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
+ Observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.
+ Verify conformance of finished work piece to prints and specifications and perform secondary operations such as debur, chip removal, bushing, tapping, drilling, etc.
+ Provide training and instruction to other employees as required; Performs manual and electronic record keeping an information retrieval functions.
+ Perform work, promote teamwork and communicate in conjunction with our culture and corporate standards (Safety/Environmental, Quality, Continuous Improvement, Communication, Internal Controls, etc.).
+ Complete setup including programming (Fanuc Controls or G Code preferred), editing, operation and preventative maintenance on CNC milling centers, CNC lathes and/or CNC mills.
+ Perform off-sets, fixturing and recognize signs of tool wear and poor finish and make adjustments to correct.
+ Follow all safety and quality procedures and standards and participate in efforts to improve processes, product flow and work standards
+ Complete required paperwork (manual and electronic) in a timely and accurate manner
+ Maintain safety and cleanliness of equipment and work area
+ Perform work, promote teamwork and communicate in conjunction with our culture and corporate standards (Safety/Environmental, Quality, Continuous Improvement, Communication, Internal Controls, etc.).
+ Inspect parts for conformance to prints and specifications.
+ Performs manual and electronic record keeping and information retrieval functions.
+ Wear required safety PPE.
+ Perform secondary operations such as deburring, chip removal, bushing installation, drilling, and tapping.

+ 2-4 years manual machining (including but not limited to mills, drills and grinders) experience *much preferred.
+ 1-3 years experience with CNC programming, operation and setup with various controls including Fanuc Controls, Mazatrol Controls and Allen/Bradley Controls on CNC milling centers, CNC lathes and/or CNC mills *much preferred.

Part and tool probing

Job Summary:
The Maintenance Machinist is responsible for supporting plant operations through continuous improvement activities and day-to-day operations. Help identify opportunities and solve complex problems following a logical problem solving approach. Work hands-on and utilize a variety of skills such as fabrication to help expand improvement initiatives throughout the entire plant
Responsibilities:
This position will report to the plant engineer and may be given direction by the on-shift production supervisor.
Evaluate current business practices, looking for ways to improve productivity, reduce costs, and make the best use of the business's resources.
Diagnose equipment performance concerns and have the ability to initiate, and fabricate improvement designs for production demands, coordinate consensus resolution with operations, and maintenance support groups internal and external to the facility.
Self motivation and ability to make decisions in a timely manner with little to no supervision is a must.
Succeeding in a cross functional team environment with the ability to work alongside all departments and associates throughout the facility.
Support operations line performance, working closely with team associates for achievement of line performance goals. Ability to troubleshoot production equipment.
Perform assigned maintenance tasks on time and document all work, preventative and breakdown related.
Maintain department/work area/shop cleanliness, knowledge of GMPs and SOPs.
Utilize root cause analysis to resolve equipment breakdown and performance issues.
Install new and repair existing equipment from written specifications such as blueprints, equipment manuals, engineering sketches, and verbal instruction. Ability to perform preventive maintenance, inspection, and general mechanical repairs and service in all areas in the facility.
Ability to design and fabricate from your own ideas with no supervision, various precision parts, improvements to machines etc. with emphasis on close tolerances using maintenance shop equipment including but not limited to lathes, mills, surface grinders, drill presses etc. in a fast paced environment.
Strong fabrication experience with welding, stainless steel, arc welding, brazing and metal forming.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Rebuild machines and equipment when needed.
Make adjustments to equipment and instruct operators how to do the same.
Work overtime when needed to either complete a job already in process or covering for maintenance absences.
Own your own tools and know how to use hand tools properly.
Must maintain a forklift licenses.
Proper use of measuring devices such as feeler gauge, micrometers, test indicators to a tenth of thousands.
Need to know procedures for the following.
The ability to work with others under many conditions such as heat, oil and dirt, etc.
General knowledge of production maintenance, priorities and protocol.
Lock Out/ Tag Out procedures.
This position is on day shift. Must be able to work any shifts and overtime when required.
Any other duties assigned by management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
5+ years experience in a machine shop.
Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks at the same time.
Effective and proven communication skills (both written and verbal) working in a team environment.
Must be able to work daily overtime including on Saturdays and Sundays when needed.
Must have the ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds on occasion and regularly stand, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. This position may also require climbing or balancing.
Pass physical/drug test, background check, reference checks.

To build upon a track record of growth and success, we are seeking a Manuel lathe and mill machinist in Noblesville, IN. This person will be responsible for day-to-day work activities to support and complete the repair, refurbishment, and general maintenance of the high speed disc stack centrifuges. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in machine fabrication and strong experience working with manual mills and lathes. This position is a 1st shift, Monday - Friday position that offers full benefits with primum PPO, 401K with company match, and competitive health benefits. The position would pay $30-$42 per hour based on experience.
Other Responsibilities will include:
Document and perform equipment repairs, cleaning, preventative maintenance, calibration, etc. and complete all required paperwork.
Maintain service logs on equipment.
Filling internal and external parts requests, including preparing packing lists, packing and shipping.
Trouble shooting and conducting root cause analysis for incoming work and per customer requests.
Assist with work estimating as it relates to required parts for repair and labor hours.
Local pickup and delivery of parts and equipment as needed.
Help maintain work areas and machinery to assure proper and safe working atmospheres.
Perform other related duties or special projects as required.
Comply with all aspects of the Trucent safety program, including but not limited to: hazard communication, PPE requirements and attending quarterly safety training.
Fill in for vacations, emergency services, etc.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics.
Position Qualifications:
Education:
Requires a high school education or equivalent plus additional specialized training in industrial maintenance & inventory management. The ideal candidate will have experience with welding, pipe fitting, strong mechanical abilities, and a strong independent work ethic.
Experience:
Requires a minimum of 5-8 years' experience in industrial maintenance and/or inventory management to gain sufficient skill to perform the requirements of the position.
