Who You Are: You are a passionate person and are ready to provide aide that will change lives. Your job is to administer oral and external medications to residents under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse. You will deliver in a safe and efficient manner the highest quality individualized assistance program to all residents. Additionally, you will provide resident care as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide residents with medication administration and treatment assistance and services according to the health care provider's orders. Supervise residents who self-administer medication while following company and regulatory guidelines. Maintain resident records regarding medication distribution and incidents. Observe residents for safety and report all changes in resident condition effectively, accurately, and in a timely manner to LN on duty Assist residents with ADL tasks including but not limited to: bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, oral care, ambulation, transfers, serving and assisting with meals, feeding, housekeeping, bed making, and laundry Observe and uphold resident rights at all times. Assist residents to and from meals. Relate to residents in a courteous, empathetic, and cooperative manner. Works within a team to provide assistance with all departments to ensure quality of care for residents Keep environment safe and clean for residents. Maintains knowledge of resident care plans. Documents, communicates, and reports, in accordance with community policy, any resident or staff incidents. Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor . Job Requirements: Must possess an upbeat, positive, flexible, and enthusiastic personality and be congenial with fellow employees, residents, and the public at large. Under close supervision, drives a large capacity passenger bus to transport residents to activities, errands, and destinations. Properly operates bus and ensures the safety of all passengers. Responsible for general maintenance of the vehicle. High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required. Minimum of one year successful experience operating a bus is required. Prior experience working with seniors preferred. Must have a valid state driver's license with a good driving record. CPR training and certification may be required. Current Class C CDL with no major driving violations for the past three (3) years. Current certification from Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction on bus driver training preferred. You will also communicate with pharmacies to coordinate medication delivery. * Based on state regulation, completion of training/certification is required.
