Responsibilities & Qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops, designs, and modifies programming system code for Audio Visual (AV) and Video Telecommunication control systems, with emphasis on AMX and Crestron platforms.
Provides programming support for integration of new AV and VTC equipment, including modification of programming to support firmware and software upgrades.
Applies knowledge of room design and configuration to ensure optimal AV system performance.
Works with the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative to ensure a user-friendly operating environment for controlling AV equipment.
Provides user training to ensure proper system use and care.
Delivers daily support for AV equipment.
Collaborates with the Video Operations Center to test firmware updates and upgrades prior to deployment to AV/VTC systems.
Manages all source code, including creation and maintenance of a version-controlled repository.
Maintains all source codes, firmware, and program files on the VTC Engineering-provided shared drive and/or repository.
Assists in testing integration of system components into system builds, deployments, and ongoing support activities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience

The Defense Logistics Agency's Video Services Support Division manages video and audio communications for the agency. The program manages video services for maintaining, installing, and integrating Audio Visual (AV) and Video Teleconference (VTC) systems, alongside user training and support for Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) and Digital Signage (DS). The VTC infrastructure spans across various networks and locations, with over 650 endpoints supported by approved components and configured for Full HD 1080 display.

SUMMARY
The Programmer role will analyze job processing requirements and develop code and/or scripts to eliminate manual job processes. Position will also perform standard testing of automation and implement solutions to ensure high levels of performance and security.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Analysis/Design: Analyze customer information requests, existing programs, file structures. Analyze business requirements for projects of small to medium scope and complexity. Assist in designing data models. Assist in analyzing environmental requirements, conversion requirements and file structures between systems. Interpret business requirements and prepares system design documents for projects.
Coding: Develop and maintain code to implement designs. Apply structured programming techniques and adhere to coding standards. Use available utilities to simplify tasks. Develops and maintains file management modules. Apply object-oriented programming principles to design and development efforts in an effort to re-use existing code. Conduct and participates in code walkthroughs.
Testing: Develops system and system integration test plans and testing scripts. Develop system test data and perform system, parallel, system integration and stress testing tests for projects. Assist in coordination of system and system integration testing. Assists quality assurance testing teams.
Communication: Provides input to peers, management and customers for recommendations and alternate solutions and/or improvements. Conveys problems, solutions, updates and project status to their peers, customers and management.
Documentation: Prepare design documentation for the software projects assigned. Ensure that the scope and intent of the design architecture is clearly reflected and accounted for in the supporting documentation for the Developers. Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
