POSITION PROFILE
Respond to all engineering service calls, giving priority to guest requests, and maintain hotel equipment in an efficient, safe, accident-free manner. Ensure a safe, resourceful, and well-maintained hotel environment.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILTIES
Maintenance Responsibilities
Respond to and handle guest requests in a courteous, efficient, safe manner.
Perform preventive maintenance and necessary repairs on all hotel equipment, including kitchen, laundry, boiler, plumbing, pool, HVAC, electrical and guest rooms.
Take water samples of boiler, loop, and cooling tower systems and treat the water to maintain predetermined levels of chemical concentration.
Operate various equipment; maintain the domestic hot and cold-water systems and monitor various electrical switch gears to ensure proper operation.
Maintain the cleanliness and general maintenance duties in the engineering spaces as well as other assigned daily operations.
Make rounds of the hotel property to ensure everything is in working order.
Complete maintenance requests, take equipment and meter readings, and maintain log to notify the next shift.
Respond to all emergency situations including fire alarms, bomb threats, disasters and power failures; notify the appropriate authorities.
Handle operation of the boiler and chiller and maintaining temperatures throughout the building.
Assist with maintenance of parking lot and snow removal as needed.
Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
Electrician Responsibilities

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
State Journeyman's license preferred
Must be experienced in maintaining and troubleshooting equipment using PLC, and relays
Experience in installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical equipment
High school diploma or equivalent trade school, special
courses in building maintenance and construction.
Ability to maintain and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing equipment and perform carpentry, repair work, construction and renovation work.
Communicate information and hotel services to management, staff and guests.
Two years prior experience in building maintenance and construction.
Must be able to work a rotating schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts as needed
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Lift/Push/Pull/Carry - up to 50 -75 plus lbs. supplies, equipment and machinery. Bending - required to perform inspections and repairs frequently throughout shift. Kneeling- required to perform inspections and repairs frequently throughout shift. Continuous movement throughout hotel required to respond quickly to emergency.

About the role: This position requires a strong aptitude and hands on approach in Electrical design, implementation, calculation, and theory. This individual should also have a good to strong experience in PLC troubleshooting. This individual must be strong in electrical circuitry configuration with the ability to troubleshoot simple to complex circuitry and provide solutions to any issues that arise in this area of expertise.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete and assign work orders as assigned; complete job tickets including start time, work order numbers, account numbers, and equipment numbers; give description of work performed on work order; request parts from storeroom and give clerk appropriate work order number; replace or repair parts as needed to keep equipment safe and operating.
Must perform all assigned tasks and demonstrate proficiency in Electrical design, implementation, calculation and theory. This individual should also demonstrate a good to strong experience in PLC operation and troubleshooting and be able to diagnose electrical and PLC related issues and provide valid solutions. The understanding of ladder logic is desired for this position.
This individual must be able to troubleshoot, specify and install VFD's as needed.
Must be able to create schematics and bills of material for new project installations.

We are looking for an Experienced Journeyman Electrician for our Rockdale, TX Data Center. Long term hire needed with Industrial Experience preferred. This is not a traveling contract as we want a more permanent commitment on site. Must have Journeyman Level Electrical Experience or an Associates Degree in an applicable field.
Almost every building has an electrical power, communications, lighting, and control system that is installed during construction and maintained after that. Installing electrical systems in newly constructed buildings is often less complicated than maintaining equipment in existing buildings because electrical wiring is more easily accessible during construction. Maintaining equipment and systems involves identifying problems and repairing broken equipment that is sometimes difficult to reach. Maintenance work may include fixing or replacing parts, light fixtures, control systems, motors, and other types of electrical equipment. Electricians read blueprints, which include technical diagrams of electrical systems that show the location of circuits, outlets, and other equipment. About the Electrician - Night Shift position
We are looking for an Electrician who will set up and maintain our electrical infrastructure, troubleshooting expertise, minimizing the probability of accidents and maximizing usability of electricity at our Data Center in Rockdale, Texas. Your duties will include installing electrical wiring in buildings and poles, troubleshooting malfunctions and blackouts and repairing appliances.
You should be well prepared to do your job with all safety precautions, as well as experienced in different kinds of electrical devices and systems.
What you will be responsible for:
Follow plans/blueprints of electrical wiring for well-functioning lighting, intercom and other electrical systems
Setup and manage electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment for alarm and other systems
Setup safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.)
Inspect electrical components such as transformers and circuit-breakers
Setup and manage wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components
Organize conduits and connect wiring through them
Inspect and replace old wiring and insulated cables, clean circuits and other elements to prevent breakdown of systems
Inspect and troubleshoot hazards or malfunctions, repairing or substituting damaged units
How you will stand out:
5+ years' experience of working on an Electrician or other similar position
PLC (Programmable Logic Control) Experience
Significant experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems
Significant experience with various electrical and hand tools, including wire strippers, voltmeter and so on, as well as electrical drawings and blueprints
Excellent knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Good physical condition, with ability to work long shifts and overnight
Ability to climb ladders and/or scaffolding
Diploma in relevant training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician
Valid license to practice profession, but not mandatory
