Maintenance Tech Job Description: 1. Maintain all CNC and PLC based equipment in proper working order. 2. Develop and record preventive maintenance programs for all CNC/PLC equipment. 3. Assist in new equipment installations and start-ups. 4. Work as a team member to assist the Maintenance and Engineering Departments. 5. Assist with trouble shooting and repair of all equipment. 6. Chautauqua Institution owns and operates the Chautauqua Hotel Company, a historic full-service comprehensive hotel that has 150 rooms for guests. The Athenaeum Hotel houses the Heirloom Restaurant, and the Lobby Lounge. The Athenaeum Hotel is open from late April through October for conferences and events. The Hotel is in full operation during the Chautauqua Institution summer season, from late June through late August. About Your Work Day The job requires efficient and effective repairs, and fixes/replacement of items found in the hotel public areas, guest rooms, venues, and related buildings. Duties can range from minor repairs, plumbing, electrical, painting, and even the breakdown/assembly of furniture and equipment. No two days are exactly the same requiring flexibility, patience with interruptions, and good multi-tasking skills. Good interpersonal skills are essential to our success.
