The Production Operator 1 will have the responsibilities of operating the winder, palletizer, and unitizer on the ModBit line as well as other assigned duties. The Macon, GA facility manufactures roofing materials for commercial use.

Completes print production jobs on various types of printing press machines, including digital, flexographic, web, screen, or others. Responsibilities
Responsible for operation / assisting on equipment including but not limited to; following all established policies and procedures in regards to safety, quality, productivity, box making, roll loading / unloading and housekeeping standards

**Responsibilities**
Responsible for operation / assisting on equipment including but not limited to; following all established policies and procedures in regards to safety, quality, productivity, box making, roll loading / unloading and housekeeping standards
+ Responsible for working safely, cleanly and ethically. Follow all plant PPE requirements, safety rules and policies. Reports unsafe conditions to supervisor immediately.
+ Responsible for maintaining general area housekeeping and recording its completion in the daily cleaning logs.
+ Responsible for following all GMPs to assure food product safety.
+ Performs finished quality inspections and packaging.
+ Makes boxes, loads and unloads rolls and creates tractability labels.
+ Responsible for reading and understanding work order to meet product requirements.
+ Performs first piece quality checks, hourly roll quality checks: such as, width, footage test, core length, packaging and other quality inspections in accordance with Production Work Orders
+ Ability to perform or assist CO II's in changeovers, and getting production lines in operation and make minimal machine adjustments to maintain quality requirements
+ Responsible for completing & supplying accurate production paperwork to shift supervisor.
+ Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work area including completion of cleaning logs & general area housekeeping.
+ All other assignments, general and specific, as directed by Supervision
**Qualifications**
+ Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
+ Ability to work on Manufacturing floor standing for 12+ hours per day.
+ Basic knowledge of manufacturing procedures.
+ Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Under supervision, learns to perform inspections and investigations in food, dairy, and processing plants to ensure compliance with established state and federal laws, rules, and regulations.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
* Inspects and investigates food manufacturing facilities.

* Collects samples of finished food products, processed products, environmental swabs, and water samples as necessary from all firms in assigned areas of responsibility and/or as directed according to established procedures.
* Transports samples to laboratories for analysis within the prescribed timeframe
* Provides knowledge, skills, and experience to assist and guide colleagues and management.
* Performs State/FDA Contract Inspections, HACCP Inspections, Shellfish Inspections, and other specialized inspections as assigned.
