    Job Description JOB Posting JOB TITLE: Forklift Driver DEPARTMENT: Dry Storage REPORTS TO: Service Manager or General Manager The Forklift Driver is responsible for carrying out operations for the marina. The Forklift Driver's primary responsibility is the customer and their vessels. Every task at the marina from carefully handing the customers boats, to communicating effectively with the employee working the docks. The Forklift Driver projects a professional company image through all types of interactions. As this is a fast-paced environment, must be able to work under pressure. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance Comply with company policies and legal guidelines Maintains awareness of safety issues and reports them immediately to supervisor EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Prior forklift experience - Marina experience preferable. Must have highly effective communication skills and time management skills. Excellent attention to detail. WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to independently lift, carry, push, and pull up to thirty (30) pounds Must be able to swim or be willing to wear a personal flotation device in instances of emergency Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently, and squeezing & overhead reaching occasionally Must be able to work flexible hours based on the needs of the property to include weekends and holidays as needed.
