Essential Functions: Work closely with an integrated project team of Applications Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Project Managers and fellow Mechanical Engineers while refining project scope and developing new design concepts Capability of executing all engineering functions by oneself, or by leading a team of 1-5 fellow Mechanical Engineers, depending on project scope Experience in the fields of coating, converting, web-handling, machine automation or packaging to aid in designing high-speed, accurate web handling; this includes the design of precision components like rollers, die cutters, and tension control systems Design overall machine layouts, custom assemblies and mechanical parts according to sketches, quotes, user requirement specifications and other instructions using Inventor 3D CAD & AutoCAD 2D Output of the design work is full machine layout drawings, assembly drawings, part detail drawings and required documentation such as the Bill of Materials Select qualified vendors of required purchased mechanical parts such as bearings, fittings, fasteners, sensors, valves, etc. Procure and integrate purchased process components, i.e. Vision, Printers, Lasers, Drying Systems, etc. Lead internal and external technical design reviews, conference calls and meetings Project leadership skills of scope/resource/time management, communication, identifying risks and executing mitigation plans to consistently meet objectives and timelines Personal and professional development such as involvement in R&D projects, trade show attendance, training, department/company objective involvement and subject matter expert Model, steward, make decisions upon, and expect to be held accountable to Delta ModTech's values which include: BELIEVE IN PEOPLE FEARLESS INNOVATION INTEGRITY PASSIONATE & TENACIOUS SERVANT LEADERSHIP Other Duties: This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
