Provide support to Quote Designers, such as bid or preliminary outlines and mechanical optimization. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Excellent process and problem solving skills Duties require an understanding of shop methods, industry standards, and drafting procedures Some occasional travel may be required Excellent team player with strong people skills; able to build relationships at all levels of the organization Effective communication skills, including verbal (logical and organized), written, listening and presentation Computer skills: highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ProE, PTC Creo Proven ability to perform assignments under minimal supervision, with assistance as required for design questions or technical problems EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Required Education / Experience Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Drafting and Design or related field Previous experience in PTC Creo Preferred Education / Experience SAP experience ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Key Working Relationships Engineering Organization, including mechanical, electrical, manufacturing and applications engineering groups Operations Management, including plant Supervision, Quality, Planning, etc. Physical Demands Must be able to walk, stand, sit, stoop, squat, and kneel for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Working Conditions Primarily shop floor plus time in office environment located on large manufacturing campus.
