What You'll Be Doing:
* Gain hands-on exposure to enterprise infrastructure technologies including Windows and Linux servers, virtualization (VMware), cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), networking, storage, backups, and monitoring tools.
* Assist with day-to-day infrastructure operations such as system health checks, performance monitoring, incident troubleshooting, and documentation of standard operating procedures.
* Support cloud and AI-enabled initiatives, including working with Amazon Q as a conversational AI layer to assist with operational insights, knowledge retrieval, and troubleshooting workflows.
* Assist in implementing and enhancing AI-driven observability and monitoring capabilities using the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) to analyze logs, identify patterns, and improve system visibility.
* Participate in automation and continuous improvement initiatives, including scripting, configuration management, and infrastructure optimization.
* Collaborate with application, middleware, security, and end-user computing teams to understand how infrastructure enables availability, resiliency, security, and performance.
* Gain exposure to IT service management and agile practices, working through real-world operational tasks from request intake and analysis to implementation and validation.

We are now accepting resumes for Summer 2026 internships. Opportunities are available in various engineering disciplines such as civil, environmental, water resources, transportation, mechanical, and electrical engineering. Additionally, internships are offered in planning, IT, human resources, marketing, and office services.
These internships are open to current undergraduate students from freshmen through juniors who are pursuing careers in fields related to our industry. Positions are available at various T&M office locations and typically run from late May through August.
Please note that in-person attendance at our office locations is required for this position. Specific schedules will be discussed and decided prior to your internship.
Ideal candidates should meet the following criteria:
Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program.
Previous internship experience is advantageous.

You are a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) or can obtain licensure in at least one state within six months.
You have 10+ years of manufacturing and production experience, including design, installation, start-up, commissioning, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting spanning a variety of industrial equipment.
Your expertise must include design or specification of industrial equipment, material handling equipment (such as forklifts, aerial lifts, and cranes), industrial facility operation and maintenance processes, utility systems (steam, water, air, gas, etc.), and manufacturing processes.
Your experience and training in reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA), root cause failure analysis, site incident investigations, and hazard analysis/risk assessments is desirable.
You can work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
You can manage a portfolio of 40-60 projects/clients.
You have excellent technical, analytical, writing, and communication skills.
You are willing to travel about 20% on average.
You have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive.
