**Role Purpose**
This internship provides hands-on engineering experience supporting the design, development, and improvement of equipment used in the manufacturing of glass substrates for Liquid Crystal Displays. The intern will contribute to project teams applying engineering principles to solve challenging problems in areas such as 3D CAD modeling, design analysis, and detailed drawing generation. **Key Responsibilities**

Advance Testing, an established New York-based construction materials testing and inspection firm, has opportunities available for individuals to perform testing and inspection of construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry and asphalt. Typical assignments include projects related to construction of roads, bridges, airports, tunnels, commercial and industrial buildings, schools, government and military sites, and material fabrication and production facilities.
Successful candidates will be trained and certified to perform sampling and testing of soil, concrete, and asphalt materials on construction sites and in a laboratory setting through locally and nationally recognized programs. Construction Materials Technician - RESPONSIBLITIES

Maintain daily log of construction and inspection activities and complete clear, accurate reports daily.

Work with Jr Engineers to develop and review project drawings and documentation
Interact directly with clients by completing analysis of design options, cost benefit comparisons, and communicating results to assist in decision making process.
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and utility requirements
Requirements
8-10 years of relevant experience
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred
Well-rounded experience in HVAC and hydronic system design
Preferred: experience designing geothermal or district energy systems
Experience with Revit or AutoCAD
New York State Professional Engineer's license is a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year

Corning's Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays ("LCDs") that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.
**Role Purpose**
This internship provides hands-on engineering experience supporting the design, development, and improvement of equipment used in the manufacturing of glass substrates for Liquid Crystal Displays. The intern will contribute to project teams applying engineering principles to solve challenging problems in areas such as 3D CAD modeling, design analysis, and detailed drawing generation. This role is ideal for a highly motivated student eager to learn, contribute creative solutions, and gain practical experience in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment focused on advanced manufacturing.

**Key Responsibilities**
+ Work with state-of-the-art manufacturing processes for the development and production of glass substrates for use in Liquid Crystal Displays (computers and TVs).
+ Work will include project and design activities including 3D CAD modeling, running design calculations and generating detailed drawings.
+ Strong level of technical curiosity and can deliver creative solutions to technical challenges.
+ Work in a team-based environment and participate as an individual contributor.
**Required Experiences/Education**
+ Pursuing a BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
+ Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2026 (May-August 2026) with a graduation date of December 2026 or later

**Required Skills**
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
+ Familiarity with CAD Software (SolidWorks and AutoCAD preferred) and FEA tools (ANSYS, COMSOL etc).
+ Effective leadership, organization, and planning skills, with ability to handle changing priorities
+ Excellent communications, interpersonal and influencing skills
+ Must be a self-starter, able to work in team environment and motivate others

The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly. Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
