    About our group: The Head Disk Mechanical Team integrates heads and media for developing the next generation Seagate perpendicular magnetic recording (PMR) and Heat Assisted Magnetic Recording (HAMR) products. We work with Seagate design centers and component centers around the world to stage novel head disc media interfacial technologies to improve the tribological performance, areal density, and reliability of PMR and HAMR Hard Disc Drives (HDDs).
