The Senior Mechanical Engineer is a hands-on position involving designing, building, and maintaining automated production equipment throughout its lifecycle. Experience writing and executing IQ, OQ and PQ protocols. Experience developing URS, FAT and SAT documents for automated equipment 3D CAD (SolidWorks or similar) as well as Mechanical design of fixtures, assemblies and equipment. Understanding and working knowledge of mechanical linkages, power transmissions and practices. Understanding of diverse fabrication techniques, manufacturing processes, and Design for Manufacturability Excellent time and project management skills and proven ability to meet goals and deadlines. As a Mechanical Engineer Intern, you will work under the direction of an assigned mentor to develop and implement project deliverables. Mechanical Interns focus on the design and engineering of HVAC, mechanical utility, plumbing, fire protection, and other building support systems into the built work environment. Typical tasks and deliverables include load calculations, utility assessments, energy modeling, design reports, code evaluations, plans, schedules, installation details, specification and coordination with manufacturers and trade partners. Tasks will include utilizing computer aided drafting and engineering software. Core Responsibilities * Developing project documents (e.g., calculations, reports, construction drawings and specifications, etc.) for clients in coordination with regulatory bodies and industry standards. * Assisting with development of conceptual designs and coordinating with the design team under direction of the project team lead. * Coordinating with multiple disciplines and other internal and external team members (e.g., vendors, clients, and contractors).
