The MT/MLT will provide emergency and routine laboratory services to eligible patients of all ages, including children, adults, and the elderly. The ideal candidate will perform specimen collection, processing, testing, and reporting with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism. Key Responsibilities: Specimen Collection and Preparation:-Collect specimens from patients across all age groups.-Prepare and process specimens for routine testing or package them for referral to external laboratories. Laboratory Testing:-Perform and monitor routine and specialized tests in areas such as microbiology, hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, and serology.-Calibrate and operate analytical instruments independently.-Interpret and evaluate test results, recognizing deviations from normal values.-Repeat tests when results are inconsistent and report abnormalities to the supervisor. Quality Control and Assurance:-Conduct quality control procedures on equipment, reagents, and products.-Troubleshoot and resolve quality control issues as needed.-Participate in laboratory proficiency testing and quality assurance programs.-Perform preventive maintenance on all instruments and identify the need for external service when necessary.
