The Science Department Biology program is seeking an individual to fill a role as a Microbiology Lab Assistant for the 2025-2026 academic year, starting immediately and lasting until May 1, 2026. Approximately 5 hours per week on a flexible daytime schedule in 1-2 hours blocks are expected, with a pay rate of $12.50 per hour. Responsibilities will include preparing media for labs and cleaning up used glassware for Intro Microbiology courses as well as assisting the course instructor as needed. Will require working with and around organisms that have pathogenic potential and handling microbial waste. The successful candidate will be motivated and follow instructions well and preference will be given to students who are federal work study aid eligible. Experience taking a Biology lab science is a plus.
