Job Description The Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing various laboratory tasks to support production and quality control. Release products that meet testing and customer specifications. Follow procedures for disposing of laboratory waste. Report production unit status in the shift log at the end of each shift. Calibrate production unit scales at least once per shift. Conduct instrument qualifications, clean-outs, and special analyses as needed. Perform water treatment plant duties as instructed. Prepare reagent standards, such as 342 water. Calibrate lab equipment as assigned. Maintain and organize sample retain lockers. Perform laboratory housekeeping duties. Monitor inventory of consumables and stock work areas. Adhere to safety rules and perform tasks responsibly. Perform other tasks as assigned. Education: Associate's degree in chemistry or a related technical field, or a high school diploma with 2 years of relevant work experience.
