How You Will Make a Difference
Essential Responsibilities
Demonstrates a high level of clinical skill in assessing the clinical needs of clients, determining appropriate interventions, and conducting individual and group therapy sessions in accordance with these needs.
Completes psychosocial evaluations, treatment plans, contact logs, discharge plans and other reports required for each client in compliance with State, accrediting bodies, quality guidelines and payor source guidelines.
Conducts weekly individual and family therapy sessions for assigned caseload.
Monitors behavioral interventions for clients and provides skills coaching, as needed.
Conducts specialized groups as assigned based on education, training, and experience; supervises or co-leads groups with staff or interns when appropriate.
Selects appropriate interventions to meet the clinical needs of individual clients.
Maintains therapeutic relationship with clients using praise and other reinforcers to encourage appropriate behaviors and attitudes.
Sets limits and hold boundaries in a kind and firm manner.
Demonstrates effective verbal crisis intervention and de-escalation, involving other staff as needed.
Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate client care from admission through discharge.
Attends weekly clinical, consultation and business meetings; present cases to be discussed as pre-assigned.
Completes documentation in a timely and accurate manner reflecting ongoing assessment of client's clinical presentation and behaviors.
Communicates client progress with the referral source, family, parent, or guardian informed of treatment goals and plans, as appropriate.
Documents in accordance with policies and procedures services provided, incident reports, shift reports, or department reports in a timely and accurate manner.
Communicates with referents, residents, and families appropriately and effectively.
Uses the referral process to build relationships with new referents and engages in collaboration with referents.
Addresses residents, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in a pleasant and respectful manner.
Responds to clients and families with empathy and positive professional skills.
Additional Responsibilities
Can be relied upon to be at work as scheduled and is rarely absent from work, notifying the supervisor if absent.
Reads, understands, and adheres to all company policy statements on ethics, conduct, and conflict of interests; adheres to facility policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
Maintains positive attitude and acts as a team player with others on the team.
Attends and completes all trainings within assigned time frames as required by the facility.
Provides consultation and coaching to direct care team members, as needed.

What We're Seeking
Education and Experience
Position requires a PhD, Psy.D, Ed.D in social work, marriage and family therapy or psychology. Position requires a minimum of one (2) years' experience in a behavioral healthcare setting, preferably with clients with mentalhealth and substance use disorders, strongly preferred. Must have a valid Florida Department of Health license as LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or Psychologist.
Other Requirements
Position requires incumbent to have a valid driver's license, vehicle insurance and acceptable driving record.
Clearance of TB test and any other mandatory state/federal requirements.
Current CPR and First Aid certification.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Ensure that the Child MentalHealth performance standards are met in Head Start and Early Head Start.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support timely and effective identification of and supportive intervention to family and staff concerns about a child's mentalhealth.
Work with teachers, home visitors, parents/guardians, and program support staff to use observations, screening results, and other systematic ways to identify and address children's mentalhealth needs.
Track and monitor social emotional screenings to ensure compliance with the 45- day requirement; ensure follow-up as needed.
Observe and provide infant and early childhood mentalhealth consultation to assigned caseload according to a consistent schedule to understand program needs, to be recognized by center staff and families as an approachable team member, and to provide effective consultation support to staff and families for children with identified mentalhealth concerns:
Design and implement program practices responsive to the identified behavioral and mentalhealth concerns of an individual child or group of children;
Complete observations to provide recommendations and strategies to caregivers for children with atypical behavior or development.
Provide individual on-site support through modeling and consultation to identified children; and;
Utilize other community mentalhealth resources, as needed
5. Schedule regular on-site mentalhealth consultation involving program staff and parents on how to:
Promote children's mental wellness by providing group and individual staff and parent education on mentalhealth issues; and
Utilize other community mentalhealth resources, as needed
6. Work with center staff, support staff, and parents to design a supportive intervention program based on observation, staff input, parent input, and screening results.
7. Participate in case management meetings and file reviews for assigned center.
8. Identify and work with available mentalhealth resources in the community; refer families for further supportive and clinical services as needed.
9. Support the implementation of the University Practicum Student program within the Head Start programs.
10. Coordinate with local mentalhealth service providers as needed.
11. Work with Family Advocate and Center Manager to arrange for further, formal, evaluation of a child when appropriate.
12. Complete postpartum depression screening with pregnant women within 2 weeks of delivery.
13. Assist with and attend Health and MentalHealth Services Advisory Committee (HMHSAC) meetings. Assist with providing mentalhealth training to teachers throughout the year and during preservice training.
14. Assist with summer screenings at assigned centers.
15. Keep informed of current professional knowledge and strategies for social- emotional development through participation in workshops and by reading professional publications.
16. Maintain accurate documentation in Child Plus on a weekly basis.
17. Assist with Program Information Report (PIR) data at the close of each school year.
18. Keep supervisor informed of relevant information related to the safety and well- being of the child and family while maintaining compliance with ECS's policies and procedures.

How You Will Make a Difference
Therapists are responsible for providing individual and group therapy sessions for clients in a specialized intensive outpatient treatment setting. Assists in meal/snack supervision as assigned and attends special occasion activities for the clients.
Assists with discharge planning, including a written discharge summary and obtaining referral sources and necessary support systems once the client is discharged.

What We're Seeking
Position requires a master's degree in social work, marriage and family therapy or psychology. Position requires a minimum of one (2) years' experience in a behavioral healthcare setting, preferably with clients with mentalhealth and substance use disorders, strongly preferred.
Doctoral level preferred (License not required)
Master's Level - Full licensure required (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LMHC)

Provides direct service to patients and families as needed in a variety of settings.

Collaborates with Bereavement Services Manager in development of a process to evaluate patient/family outcomes in the bereavement services area.
Coordinates all bereavement components.

Conducts individual and group support for families. Implements and documents bereavement services.

Works with qualified staff social workers in the development and implementation of caregiver support groups.
Develops and implements support groups open to the public.
Provides individual bereavement counseling to local residents not affiliated with Hospice.
QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education or a master's degree in a related field required.
Minimum one year of experience in social work, or a related field, preferably in a homecare agency, hospital, outpatient clinic, or mentalhealth program in which bereavement counseling and support group facilitation was primary function.
Must possess a Florida Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential in good standing or similar credential (LMHC, LMFT) required.
Knowledge and Abilities:
Demonstrated knowledge skills and commitment to the Hospice philosophy of care and the Hospice team concept.
Able to assess data reflecting the patients' status and interpret the appropriate information needed identify each patient's requirements relative to their needs.
Valid Florida driver's license and required auto liability insurance.
