Develops and monitors the social services programs for the CSA. Establishes and maintains standards, quality levels, cost effective, and customer focused services. Establishes interfaces with community services.
Responsibilities
Plans, develops, implements and maintains social services policies and procedures, delivery of social work programs, and discharge planning services.
Oversees social services case management activities.
Manages staff activities, ensures their competencies, and develops/presents inservices.
Recommends, develops, and implements new programs enhancing services to specialized patient populations and reducing hospital and office visit utilization.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, child development or a related field required.
Must be at least 22 years old.
Four years of experience in a mentalhealth setting as a specialist in the field of physical restoration, social adjustment, or vocational adjustment. Up to two years of graduate professional education may be substituted for the experience requirement on a year-for year basis; up to two years of post- associate arts clinical experience may be substituted for the required educational experience in addition to the requirement of four years' experience in a mentalhealth setting.
A valid California driver's license is required of staff who have regular driving duties, and the driving record must meet the requirements of their position and be approved by the agency's insurance company.

Advocate for residents' needs within the system and connect them with external resources such as educational, vocational, or additional mentalhealth services.
Collect outcome data and consumer satisfaction data as required by the agency and contractor.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Provide mentalhealth counseling in a school setting and/or in our Axis MentalHealth Counseling Clinic. May provide several types of counseling services to potentially include individual, group, family, couples, etc.
Will counsel individual from various cultural, ethnic, financial backgrounds, and will have the opportunity to work with children/teen, adults, and older adults.
Collaborate and consult with Axis licensed clinicians, medical doctors, case managers and other staff, as necessary.
Comply with the terms outlined in the Axis Intern Agreement and all related policies.
Collaborate care with the contacts at the schools and with parents as necessary/directed.
Complete necessary documentation, using an electronic health records system. Ensure charting and documentation is consistent with related laws, regulations, and Axis standards. Documentation includes appropriate Medi-Cal billing and is also overseen by the supervisor.
Participates in peer review of clients' charts as directed.
This position may last through the school year, with the potential to stay on during the summer, although as approved by supervisor, and at decreased hours.
Mandatory, weekly participation in one hour of individual supervision, two hours of group supervision, one hour of intern training seminar, and one-hour weekly team meeting with the Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) staff.
Monitor client progress and document case notes accurately.
Provide crisis intervention support when needed.
Research and recommend community resources or support programs for clients.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in mentalhealth practice.
Drive to other sites and locations as needed to perform job duties or support organizational operations.
Participate in staff meetings, and attend other meetings and training events as assigned.

Under general supervision, the 2930 Behavioral Health Clinician performs essential duties that include, but are not limited to the following:

Establishes and maintains professional relationships by collaborating with other service providers (e.g. nurses, primary care providers with probation and child welfare, psychologists, teachers, lawyers, physicians) to consult on medical, psychiatric and psychosocial issues; attends staff meetings/conferences with other agencies/teams to solve problems, coordinate care. Acts as the liaison between the program and family/community agencies including individuals such as Parents/Caregivers, Case Managers, County Social Workers, Teachers/Education Providers, and Probation Officers. The Clinician shall work with the family or care providers in the implementation of treatment plans and will maintain contacts with all important individuals in the client's life.
Provides individual, family, and group counseling based on the needs of the clients served.
Meets Agency service percentage standard reflecting expected time spent with clients, if applicable.
Completes other assigned program operational tasks in accordance with supervisory directives.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Completion of a clinical program with a Master's or Ph.D. degree in a field of behavioral science from an accredited educational institution.
Holds a current license registration issued by the Board of Behavioral Sciences (AMFT, ACSW, APCC, LMFT, LCSW, LPCC)

Under the supervision of the MentalHealth Program Director and/or the Clinical Supervisor, the Clinician has the primary responsibility for the providing direct mentalhealth services to 0 to 21 years old and their families with the San Francisco MentalHealth Team, based in the SoMa neighborhood. We are seeking a clinician with previous experience working with systems-involved families, or a willingness to learn. This clinician will have a demonstrated ability to engage and develop strong alliances with families who tend to be initially mistrustful of service providers, and a willingness to be creative and adaptive in treatment to ensure accessibility for families. Clinician will also be well versed in current mentalhealth practices and trends, such as trauma informed, developmental responsive, family centered, collaborative and culturally responsive services. Clinician should be ready to embrace the role of collaborative outcomes management and data collection that helps address the public health needs of our region.
Services include: assessment; development of a family centered treatment plan; providing developmentally appropriate mentalhealth treatment in the community or office; coordination of care with child welfare workers, parents, foster parents, and other collaterals; maintaining a written record of treatment in a timely manner, including regular assessments and progress notes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Direct client care in client's home, in the office, at school, by telehealth or in the community for children 0 to 21 years and their families
Attend appropriate meetings, which include weekly individual and group supervision, staff meetings, and trainings.
Understand and organize informed consent rules and documents, due dates, and assessments.
Coordinate with child welfare workers, resource parents, schools, and other systemic stakeholders where appropriate
Through regularly scheduled sessions, provide psychotherapy, intensive care coordination, parent training/psychoeducation/skill building, and crisis intervention to assigned children and families. Work with various modalities including individual, dyadic, and family therapy.
Conduct assessments (including CANS, 7 Domain Clinical Assessment, ASQ:SE and ASQ-3, PSC-35), assign appropriate diagnosis, and plan treatment goals in collaboration with clients, caregivers, teammates, and other providers within the Child and Family Team.
Provide Therapeutic Visitation Services and Intensive Home-Based Services as authorized.
Attend Child and Family Team Meetings and appropriate school meetings, such as IEP meetings. Facilitate Child and Family Team meetings if needed.
Use time-management skills and supervisory support to meet service delivery, documentation, and timeliness requirements.
Meet service delivery expectations set by program
Meet all EPSDT contractual expectations; including all documentation needs, timeliness of progress notes (within 3 days of service delivery), and meet all program expectations of effective chart management.
Follow regulatory guidelines, mandated reporting, and program/agency protocols in performing duties
Provide culturally responsive services
Abide by all provisions of the ABW personnel manual
Perform any other duties as directed.
Qualifications:
MSW, MA, PhD or PsyD from accredited school of social work or psychology. Must be licensed or registered with BBS or BOP.
Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred but not required

Work Environment
This role is primarily performed in an office setting, in the community, and/or through video meetings. In-person attendance is typically required for client sessions unless alternate arrangements are required or requested. Remote work privileges vary by role and are subject to supervisor's approval.
