Position Summary
The Therapist is responsible for providing individual and group therapy sessions for clients in a specialized Outpatient facility. Position is responsible for assessing the therapeutic needs of the individuals and families, and for developing appropriate treatment. Therapists act as the primary contact for clients and families throughout the treatment process and serve as a client advocate with the treatment team. Demonstrates effective verbal crisis intervention and de-escalation, involving other staff as needed.
Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate client care from admission through discharge.
Attends weekly clinical, consultation and business meetings; present cases to be discussed as pre-assigned.
Completes documentation in a timely and accurate manner reflecting ongoing assessment of client's clinical presentation and behaviors.
Communicates client progress with the referral source, family, parent, or guardian informed of treatment goals and plans, as appropriate.
Documents in accordance with policies and procedures services provided, incident reports, shift reports, or department reports in a timely and accurate manner.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Position requires a master's degree in social work, marriage and family therapy or psychology. Must hold or be working toward MI licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or LMHC). Position requires a minimum of one (1) year experience in a behavioral healthcare setting.

What Will You Do?
As a Clinical Therapist at Pine Rest, you'll be part of tight-knit team that believes in the healing power of your expertise and compassion. Within the framework of the organization is responsible to be a professional caregiver who provides assessment, counseling, treatment and gives referrals and advocacy services for patients. Is also responsible for upholding the highest quality care, keeping with all standards and bylaws set by government agencies as well as Pine Rest.
Our Clinical Therapists are driven to make an impact in the lives of those we serve and are motivated by the healing they witness first-hand each day. They are dedicated to excellent customer service, enthusiastic about the care we offer, and foster a sense of belonging and empowerment in a diverse workplace.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Participates in the interviewing of persons served and assessing them through mental status as well as reviewing records obtained from other patient care staff.
Selects and completes appropriate therapeutic interventions based upon clinical knowledge base and educational background (to include individual, group, family, experiential, and evidence based models).
Collaborates with other treatment team members regarding patients' progress through interdisciplinary team meetings, record review, and informal discussions.
Ensures that medical record documentation protocols are complied with. Ensures that persons' served progress notes are entered into the medical records on a timely basis and in accordance with established organizational and departmental procedures.
May coordinate services and community resources as needed and assist person's served in obtaining them.
What Does This Role Require?
Education/Experience:
Current state licensure in an accredited Master's level program in Social Work, limited license Psychologist or Professional Counseling.
Obtain and maintain in good standing certification commiserate with treatment provided.
Trained to work in the age group of the patient being served with annual continuing age specific education and demonstrated competence.
One to two years of postgraduate clinical experience.

We are seeking a Psychiatric Services Clinician to provide support to clients and the Psychiatric Services staff to support the daily function of the clinic and meet the complex needs of the clients. Support through chart prep, discharge planning, screenings, and referral services. All activities will take place either face-to-face or by phone.
This position is 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. There are no weekends, on call, or holiday requirements for this position. This assignment is in person at 790 Fuller Ave NE Grand Rapids, Michigan 49503
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Master's degree in Social Work or Psychology, Counseling, or Counseling Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapist.
· Licensure in the State of Michigan as a licensed master social worker, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, or psychologist; OR be eligible for a limited license as stated above and obtain that licensure within three (3) months of hire.
· At least one year of experience providing services to individuals with mental illness, intellectual/developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders.
· Thorough working knowledge of the practices and principles of psychological, emotional, and sociological assessment.
· Thorough working knowledge of professional ethics and standards of practice.
· Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, email, database management, and data entry skills.
· Demonstrated experience communicating clearly and concisely in stressful situations.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Excellent customer service skills.
· Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and skills and capabilities of
bridging language/cultural barriers to Network180 services within diverse communities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued.
· Fully licensed MSW, Professional Counselor, Psychologist, or Marriage and Family Therapist.
· At least three years postgraduate experience working with individuals with mental illness and co-occurring disorders.
