JOB SUMMARY
The Registered Respiratory Therapist has advanced knowledge and training of the cardiopulmonary system that is used to manage and treat patients. Therapists will use different scientific principles, therapies, and techniques to optimize patient care and outcomes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS of the ROLE
Performs and directs the administration of respiratory care services (including but not limited to oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, inhaled medication, airway clearance, invasive and non-invasive ventilation and bedside spirometry), as ordered by a patients attending physician, in a quality manner that is in accordance with established procedures. Administers cardiopulmonary resuscitation in emergency situations.Reviews physician's orders, analyzes patient's diagnostic test results and provides appropriate therapy based on the patients current clinical condition. If appropriate, implements approved protocols as directed by physician.Performs routine and advanced respiratory therapy; prioritizing patient needs in a rapidly changing environment.Instructs patient in the use of various respiratory care equipment in a thorough and professional manner. Assesses patient response to therapy and coaches the patient to improve technique.Documents all treatments and therapies given, any supplies used, and accurately files all corresponding charges. Reports outcomes of therapeutic interventions and makes recommendations as appropriate.Adheres to established policies including but not limited to: infection control and isolation policies, HIPAA, time and attendance, and social media.Works willingly and professionally with other employees, healthcare professionals, and students.Takes responsibility and initiative to understand and complete any professional or technical requirements set by leadership.Incorporates principles continuous quality improvement in all of aspects of clinical care, identifying opportunities as appropriate.

Specific Program Descriptions
ABH Complex Care: Complex Care focuses on tailoring services to individuals that would benefit from a multidisciplinary, team-based approach. Our teams (AOT, ACT, FACT, and POWER) strive to build community connections and tackle stigma associated with severe mental illness. As a result, our teams work closely with consumers in a community-based approach, overcoming the barriers of multiple hospitalizations and treatment non-adherence. Complex Care team members are provided with the tools/skills necessary to advocate, assist, and motivate consumers to take part in their recovery. Complex Care Licensed Clinicians provide trauma informed therapeutic services utilizing evidenced based practices to empower individuals. Together, we work to integrate individuals back in the community, instill hope in recovery, and provide the additional support for mentalhealth needs.
MINIMUM ENTRANCE QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
* Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited university
* Complete the Qualified MentalHealth Professional Community Services (QMHP-CS) within six (6) weeks of hire or transfer.
Licenses or Certifications

NCI is intended to support human service professionals in giving aggressive, disruptive, or out-of-control people the best care and welfare possible, even in the most violent situation.
NCI training provides staff with the skills to safely recognize and respond to everyday crisis situations that may involve more challenging behaviors. It focuses on prevention and offers proven strategies for safely defusing anxious, hostile or violent behavior at the earliest possible stage.
Justice Intake & Assessment Annex (JIAA) Programs: Licensed Clinicians working within this program must be able to lift at least 50 lbs to maneuver boxes of completed assessments.
Depending on assigned unit/program, applicants for this position must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility. Due to CJIS requirements related to system access, the following may result in being disqualified for this position: Felony Convictions, Felony Deferred Adjudication, Class A & B Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication, Class B Misdemeanor Convictions, an Open Arrest for Any Criminal Offense (Felony or Misdemeanor), and Family Violence Convictions.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience working with individuals with substance use and/or mental illness.
Prior experience with or knowledge of trauma-informed care.

About the Community Engagement Team
Zipline's Community Engagement Team plays an important public facing role in Zipline's operations. They are responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with local government officials, civic organizations, business groups, neighborhoods, and schools. Their work helps individuals and organizations understand the impact of Zipline's service on the community, job creation, and the future of a logistics system that serves all humans equally.
The Role
Does creating and maintaining important relationships with multiple layers of stakeholders within local communities come naturally to you? You'll help design and implement strategies to engage our community members, strengthen partnerships, and support outreach initiatives.
What You'll Do
* Assist in planning, promoting, and executing community events, workshops, and virtual meetups
* Support the development of content for newsletters, social media, and other communication channels
* Respond to community inquiries and engage with members across platforms
* Conduct research on community needs, trends, and engagement strategies
* Help track engagement metrics and compile reports on community feedback and outcomes
* Provide general administrative support to the community engagement team
What You'll Bring
* Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Passion for community building and social impact
* Experience with social media platforms and/or digital tools for community engagement (e.g., Slack, Facebook Groups)
* Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks
* Creative thinker who brings enthusiasm and initiative
* A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle is preferred
* Bilingual proficiency (e.g., English and Spanish) is strongly preferred
What Else You Should Know
Our internships are full-time positions, in-person at our South San Francisco or Dallas office. We will host our Summer 2026 interns from May or June to August.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future.
Candidates are limited to three (3) applications within a 30-day period.
The starting cash range for this internship is $32 - 36/ hour. Please note that this is a target, starting cash range for a candidate who meets the minimum qualifications for this role. The final cash pay for this role will depend on a variety of factors, including a specific candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and working location. The total compensation package for each role may also include: a housing stipend; overtime pay; relocation support; paid sick time; and more.

MHMR's Learning and Development Department offers a wide array of internship opportunities to meet the growing demand for agency supports and services.
MHMR interns serve in many ways, from providing administrative support to working in one of the many clinics located in Tarrant County. Internship activities may vary based on the requirements of the students field experience program.
This is an experiential position intended to meet practicum and field placement course requirements for degree programs. This placement provides individuals with on-the-job experience to learn role requirements, expectations and apply theoretical knowledge.
