This intern position will work along with the habitat staff to develop, maintain, and improve wildlife habitat on game production areas in north central South Dakota. Internships will be provided experience in the management of Game, Fish and Parks game production areas. They will also help facilitate access to walk-In and CREP hunting areas. They will attend and give input in land management meetings and perform habitat management practices. Duties will include GIS Mapping, noxious weed control, boundary posting, pre/post-management vegetation monitoring, and noxious weed data entry/analysis. Other duties as assigned will include assisting with wildlife and fisheries population surveys, radio telemetry, predator trapping and working with local conservation officers.
Qualifications:
Must have a valid drivers license. Must be able to pass agricultural pest certification and ATV/UTV safety courses.
Candidate must be able to work outdoors and be able to operate an ATV or UTV. Must be able to lift 40 lbs. and traverse rough terrain.
Range management, prescribed fire, vehicle repair or welding classes would be of benefit. ATV certification, CDL, GIS experience and South Dakota Pesticide Applicator license would be useful but will train as necessary.
Applicant must be enrolled as a part-time/full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time they apply. By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program.

Position Description:
Assist managers and biologist conducting fisheries management and research activities on waters of the Upper Missouri River Fish Management Area. Activities include, but are not limited to: fish population sampling, angler creel surveys, fish stocking, trap and transfer of fish, basic water chemistry, research projects, fish spawning and tagging, aquatic invasive species monitoring, and access and habitat development. Intern will operate boats and motors, utilize fisheries sampling equipment (gill nets, frame nets, seines, electrofishing equipment, etc.), weight and measure fish, record, input, and analyze data, and provide preliminary management recommendations. Responsibilities also include equipment and buildings and grounds maintenance and repair.
Qualifications:
Applicant must be enrolled as a part-time/full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time they apply. By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program. Coursework in fisheries principles and techniques preferred.

GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Assistant Store Manager helps maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. At the direction and delegation of the Store Manager, the Assistant Store Manager assists with supervision of store employees, management and presentation of merchandise, completion of paperwork, and preparation of deposits. The Assistant Store Manager also performs stocking and cashiering functions, and performs other duties as necessary to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting company assets and reducing losses.
DUTIES and ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
* Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers, and operate cash register and scanner to itemize the customer's purchase.
* Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
* Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees, providing adequate training for employees, conducting safety meetings, and ensuring employee compliance with company policies and procedures.
* Follow company work processes to manage merchandise, including receiving, unpacking, stocking, restocking and rotating merchandise on shelves and building merchandise displays.
* Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels by controlling damages, markdowns, scanning, paperwork, and facility controls.
* Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms; ensure merchandise is presented according to established practices and Store Manager direction.
* Assist in ensuring financial integrity of the store through strict cashier accountability, key control, adherences to company security practices and cash control procedures; authorize and sign for refunds and overrides, count register tills, and deposit money in bank.
* Assist with management of the store in the Store Manager's absence.
Qualifications
