Essential Functions
The MRI Technologist operates the Magnetic Resonance operations at SimonMed Imaging centers.
Knowledge of magnetic resonance imaging procedures and technology
Operates a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies
Selects appropriate imaging techniques, and operates console and peripheral hardware; enters and monitors patient data, transfers images from disk to magnetic media to produce the transparency, and develops film in automatic processor
Obtains images, produces film records and backups from disk to storage media, and transfers from desk to PACS stations
Maintains accurate study documentation
Performs a variety of tasks
A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required
Demonstrates competency in the performance of job-related skills appropriate to his/her customer populations and departmental services while providing excellent customer service.
Utilizes and operates equipment and mechanical devices which provide for a functional, effective, and safe environment.
Adheres to policies, procedures, guidelines relative to departmental operations.

CT Technologist Full Time Evenings Position Summary
Performs a variety of radiological procedures, including vascular, invasive, interventional examinations and computerized tomographic procedures. Possesses highly technical skills to operate sophisticated equipment. Ability to perform duties of ARRT Technologist when not performing CT. Responsible for on-call procedures when indicated.

CT Tech FT Days Position Summary
Performs computerized tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury according to protocols established by radiologists.
Responsibilities
Prepares and positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
Observes patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity.
Monitors protocols and recommends updates or refinements as warranted.
Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
Collects pertinent patient history and documents on requisition.
Checks for accuracy of ordered exams by comparing to written physician order.
Verifies correct patient by using two forms of identity verification, prior to injecting patient or starting exam.
Maintains patient confidentiality per established CHN policies regarding HIPAA rights and practices.
Completes consent forms as indicated per procedure.
Completes pregnancy forms, oxygen transportation forms, medication reconciliation forms.
Inputs and processes requisitions.
Inputs all pertinent information and provides image/film history to radiologists for review and comparison.
Starts intravenous access as needed, and performs I.V. injections using proper technique.
Understands how to treat patients with infiltrated IV sites.
Understands management of patients with elevated Creatinine levels.
Maintains proper oxygen therapy on patients who require oxygen.
Maintains skills required to change oxygen tanks.
Must be able to use masks and nasal canula.

Previous medical office experience preferred; previous ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This role requires a variety of physical activities to effectively perform essential job functions. The position involves frequent walking (75%), sitting (50%), and standing (50%), with regular bending, stooping, and reaching (25-50%). Employees must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25 lbs. Strong fine motor skills and full use of hands are essential, as the role demands constant grasping, writing/typing, and use of technology. Visual and auditory acuity-including color, depth, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus-is required 100% of the time. Occasional driving or climbing may also be necessary.

Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our client's team in Cottonwood, AZ. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for performing high-quality MRI scans while ensuring patient safety and comfort. You will work closely with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver precise diagnostic imaging services.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform MRI procedures as ordered by physicians, ensuring images are of the highest quality for accurate diagnoses.
Assist patients in preparing for MRI exams, explaining the procedure and addressing any concerns.
Monitor patients during MRI scans to ensure safety and comfort.
Operate MRI equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of MRI exams.
Adhere to all safety standards, infection control procedures, and radiation safety protocols.
Ensure proper positioning of patients for optimal image capture.
Work closely with radiologists and medical staff to discuss imaging results as needed.
Provide excellent patient care, ensuring a positive experience and maintaining patient confidentiality.
Education & Certification Requirements:
Associate's degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
Certification in MRI through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-MRI) is required. ARMRIT accepted.
State licensure in Arizona as a Radiologic Technologist is required.
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
Experience in MRI procedures and imaging preferred.
Strong knowledge of MRI safety protocols and equipment operation.
Excellent communication and patient care skills.
