Summary / Objective

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Universal Banker to join the team in our Essex branch. The Universal Banker position will be responsible to perform the job responsibilities of both a Teller and a Personal Banking Representative. We are looking for someone with previous banking experience who is goal oriented and has excellent customer services skills. Principal Duties and Responsibilities
* Process financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing and loan payments
* Provides excellent customer service, identifies customer needs, and suggests appropriate line of products
* Proactively develops new customer relationships and expands relationship with existing customer
* Research and resolve all customer problems and inquires
* Interview consumer loan applicants. Submit and close consumer and equity loans
* Educates customers on all products and services and alternate delivery channels
* Cross sell products and services
* Engage in outside business development activities including cold calling and community involvement
* Contribute to the overall branch goals in sales and service
Job Specifications
* High School diploma or GED required
* Previous teller experience and cash handling experience
* Computer experience and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Good oral and written communication skills
* Detail oriented and good organization skills
* Good working knowledge of all bank operating procedures, practice and policies
* Ability to prioritize workflow, multi-task, time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
* Ability to analyze situations and solve complex issues
