What You'll do
The Store Manager is responsible for creating and executing a business plan to achieve the store's performance goals which includes achieving sales budget, building market share, and driving omnichannel sales. The Store Manager integrates and strategically drives sales via online, print advertising, social media, mobile apps and in-store engagement. This position builds revenue by equipping the store's team of associates in product knowledge, understanding of the day-to-day store operations, sales, safety & loss prevention, store appearance, customer service, and merchandising. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and supervise associates.
Enhance the customer experience and drive sales by creating, planning, developing, and implementing an online and community presence through creative social media posts, store events, vendor and associate presentations, and customer trainings

Manage and grow BOPIS (buy online, pick up in store) sales with associates and customers
Through collaboration with the District Manager and store associates, analyze operational processes, customer trends, and business results to determine appropriate actions necessary to achieve business objectives
Teach and coach behaviors to management team and associates which enables a high performing team to consistently deliver a best-in-class customer experience
Possess the autonomy, independent judgment, and discretion in leading the team to achieve or exceed the goals and strategies of the store
Create and ensure quality execution of development plans, building associate's capabilities, measured by success of the overall store operations in conjunction with customer and associate feedback

Perform all setups on machines, some requiring the use of special fixtures and other improvised methods for holding and aligning work to avoid distortion of parts.
Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, and engineering information to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate products, and determine product dimensions and tolerances.
Select, recommend, and advise type of tooling needed to perform machining operations.
Check feeds and speeds necessary to machine parts, maintain constant check to ensure adherence to close tolerance and co-related dimensions on shoulders, diameters, bore faces, slot grooves and high degree of squareness, concentricity and parallelism. Perform first-piece inspection.
Sharpen and replace ordinary tooling and replace tooling that has become dull.
Detect and report to coordinator any defective material or other unusual conditions.
Coordinate with other machinists and supervisor.
Work with QE and ME for product quality.
Communicate with buyer/planner for material needed.
Lubricate and clean equipment used.
Keep work area orderly and observe prescribed safety rules at all times.
Design fixtures, tooling, or experimental parts to meet special engineering needs.
Dispose of scrap or waste material in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.
Evaluate experimental procedures, and recommend changes or modifications for improved efficiency and adaptability to setup and production.
Requirements
Associates degree in Machine Technology or equivalent certification or experience preferred.
Minimum of three years of progressively difficult machinist experience is preferred.
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, and their applications.
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Requires the use of judgment to plan, perform, and make decisions as to the sequence of setups, operations, and processes within the limitations of recognized or standard methods.
Critical thinking and complex problem solving skills to identify alternative and correct solutions.
Self-motivated and capable of completing tasks without supervision and within time limits.
Must be able to maintain very close tolerances (.0003 or better). Requires a very high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

RK&K's Construction Engineering Inspection and Construction Management Division is hiring Senior Construction Inspectors in and around the Salem, VA area. This role will primarily perform work in VDOT's Salem District, adjacent Districts as well as localities inclusive of Roanoke, Bedford, Martinsville, Christiansburg and Hillsville. As a Senior Construction Inspector with RK&K you will lead and strengthen our construction engineering and inspection business including highway, bridge, and design-build /design-build projects. Essential Function
Provide construction management support, including inspection and monitoring of construction of roadway and structures to ensure compliance with plans, specifications and safety regulations
Independently coordinate and directs all phases of construction inspection of projects, complicated by extensive traffic control, sensitive to the public or environmentally challenging, or require significant project coordination with property owners, utility companies, or local/federal government representatives
Ability to communicate effectively across different platforms with project management, clients, stakeholders, general public and contractors
Lead and monitor work products of a team of junior level inspectors and provide technical supervision
Lead and conduct project meeting with various project stakeholders
Interface with clients, state and federal agencies, and other engineering disciplines on construction projects
Fully engage in solving complex problems to provide technical evaluation and sound solutions
Monitor and document the activities of contractors. Communicate and document non-compliant work elements
Review lines, grades, dimensions, and elevations using standard survey and field engineering equipment
Review placement of various materials, tracks project materials testing frequencies and provides materials testing as required
Performs field measurements and tracks daily quantities of work items installed
Maintain comprehensive project records and reporting as required typically inclusive of daily reports, materials compliance tracking, pay quantity records, as-built plan records, EEO documents, change orders, and monthly payment vouchers.
Aid Construction Management staff with monitoring of project schedule, budget and development of change order and NOI analysis
Required Skills and Experience
Minimum seven (7) years of relevant experience in construction inspection, materials, standards, and specifications related to state highway projects and facilities
