**The Role**

The Position and Job Summary
Under enhanced supervision, the Associate Consumer Service Coordinator provides information, advocacy, and service coordination for individuals and their families. This part-time role requires a commitment of 16 hours per week, working 4 hours per day
over 4 days. The caseload will be shared between two student Associate Service Coordinators, ensuring manageable service delivery.
With guided coaching and supervisory oversight, contribute to the development, monitoring, and evaluation of basic program plans for individuals, making revisions as needed.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including forms and reports, in compliance with regulations and NLACRC policies.

The Deputy Director of Development will lead the operational execution and foundational infrastructure of the Development Department, enabling the Head of Philanthropy and the Senior Manager of Major Gifts to focus exclusively on donor cultivation, solicitation, and relationship management. Location and Schedule
This full-time role requires an 8-hour day and a 40-hour work week. It is an Exempt position under the FLSA, meaning it is not eligible for overtime pay.

Foundational Structure and Operations (35%)

Oversee data management, analytics, and reporting; produce monthly dashboards to track fundraising trends, pipeline health, and departmental metrics for the Head of Philanthropy and leadership.
Enhance best-practice policies for compliance (federal/state regulations), process improvements, and scalability; lead initiatives to streamline gift entry, prospect research coordination, and event logistics.
Manage biweekly departmental meetings, annual retreats, and the development plan, incorporating strategic adjustments and cross-departmental input.

Leadership and Team Management (30%)

Supervise the Philanthropic Grants and Donor Communications Senior Manager, providing guidance on grants strategy (foundation/government/corporate), lifecycle management (research, proposals, submissions, reporting, stewardship), donor communications (impact stories, support cases, stewardship reports), trend monitoring, and mentorship of team members in proposal development.
Collaborate with the Head of Philanthropy to assess staffing needs, contribute to recruitment, and promote professional development, growth, and a collaborative team culture.
Act as a key cross-departmental liaison (e.g., with Communications, Research, Operations) to gather input for grants/proposals, align on priorities, and execute joint initiatives.
Philanthropic Strategy and Culture (20%)
Serve as a thought partner to the Head of Philanthropy in executing the development plan, identifying operational opportunities/risks, and monitoring philanthropy trends to inform foundational enhancements.
Support coordination of fundraising events, annual appeals, employee giving, and end-of-year campaigns in collaboration with the Communications department and the Development Services Manager.
Ensure the timely, creative, and budget-conscious production and dissemination of donor-facing materials (proposals, reports, collateral) in partnership with the Senior Manager of Philanthropic Grants and Donor Communications.
Board and Executive Support (15%)
Prepare materials, agendas, and tracking for Board-driven fundraising initiatives and prospect engagements led by the Executive Director or Head of Philanthropy.
Facilitate prospect management meetings to align team efforts on research, ratings, move tracking, and template maintenance for donor materials.

Job Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
7+ years of development experience with proven outcomes in building operational foundations, process improvement, revenue support systems, and team management.
3+ years in a leadership role (e.g., managing teams, operations, or projects in a growing nonprofit).

Criminal Justice Internship
Criminal Law & Immigration Project interns will participate in one or more of the team's core streams of work, which includes: Prosecutorial Accountability; Police Accountability; Decarceration; and Immigrants' Rights. The Prosecutorial Accountability project aims to increase engagement in prosecutorial elections, increase accountability, and draw attention to the immense power and discretion exercised by prosecutors. Interns may also attend appellate arguments, trial court proceedings, and depositions. Interns are encouraged to attend and participate in departmental meetings, where prospective litigation and policy strategies are discussed. Assignments may arise that provide interns the opportunity to work across the Department's three broad issue areas, including Democracy, Speech & Technology and Appeals & Special Litigation.

The Organization
North Los Angeles County Regional Center “NLACRC” is a private, non-profit agency that is contracted with the State of California, Department of Developmental Services, to provide services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. NLACRC is
one of the largest regional centers in California and has proudly served the San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita Valley, and Antelope Valley since 1974. We serve individuals across the lifespan from infants and toddlers, school age children, transition-age youth, to
adults and aging adults.
SCOPE: Provides information, advocacy, and case management stabilization services for consumer participants of the Self- Determination Program (SDP).
SUPERVISION: Receives general supervision from Consumer Services Supervisor/Manager.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: (These are examples of the types of duties that may be performed. Additional duties may be added.)
1. Establish the individual budget, associated spending plan, and case management services to consumers registering and/or participating in Self-Determination Program services, including coordination and facilitation of individual program planning to identify SDP-
specific outcomes and supports.
2. Assists participants with the transition in and out of the SDP.
3. Assists in the transfer of funds originally distributed to any budget category to another budget category or categories, as identified in statute and/or regulation.
4. If selected as an Independent Facilitator by the participant, will assist in the person-centered planning process and the development of the SDP-based IPP.
Will be an active participant/advocate in the decision-making process as related to the development of the individual budget, assessment of short-term
and long-term needs, access and coordination of participant-selected services and supports to meet those needs as identified in the consumer's IPP.
5. Documentation, completing forms and reports in accordance with regulations and NLACRC policies and procedures.
6. Works with Independent Facilitators and Financial Management Services providers who can assist with person-centered planning process, payments and provide employee-related services.
7. Initiates and responds to consumer, family, service provider, and outside agency communications on topics including but not limited to SDP-related service eligibility and SDP-related problem resolution.
8. Schedule and attend interdisciplinary meetings with individuals served, family members, service providers, advocates, etc.
9. May require re-training staff on needed areas that will be identified.
10. Shadows and coaches CSCs in the field when planning and conducting meetings.
11. Assist in addressing issues specific to service delivery and program planning including assessing service provision within SDP.
12. May be asked to perform other tasks/ activities to ensure that applicable timelines, performance measures and customer service goals are met.
13. Identify barriers to service delivery and implement culturally sensitive strategies that embody empathy, trust, and respect; comfort working in
underserved and non-traditional office settings to meet our community needs.

What You'll Do
The Foundation for California Community Colleges (Foundation), under contract with the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR), Smog Check Referee Program (Program), provides by appointment only, test-only facilities throughout the state. These facilities are authorized to perform referee functions for consumers whose vehicles were unable to receive a smog certificate through a licensed commercial smog station. The stations are located on California community college campuses or C.T.E. centers. The Referee sites inspect and test vehicles and determine if the vehicle should be given a smog certificate or be sent back to a Smog check station for repairs.
The call center works cooperatively across a variety of air quality programs that may be in operation from time to time.
Under the Call Center Supervisor, the Call Center Agent interfaces with the public to execute the activities of the Foundation call center and performs related work as required.
Provides information to the public on services available through a variety of Air Quality Programs including but not limited to: Smog Check Referee, Parts Locator Service, and the Enhanced Fleet Modernization Program.
Maintains up to date working knowledge of all air quality programs offered to ensure accurate information is conveyed to consumers.
Triages inbound calls and schedules consumer appointments or otherwise serves consumers based on assessment of consumer's needs.
