Essential Job Duties
The main purpose of the NC State University Police Officer position is to protect and serve the students, faculty, staff and visitors of North Carolina State University through law enforcement and crime prevention. The selected candidate(s) will patrol campus and investigate complaints and violations of State laws and local ordinances. This person also develops and implements preventative patrol techniques and performs specialized duties to deter crime and promote effective safety and security practices.
This description covers the duties and responsibilities of officers in the Police Officer band and includes Police Officer I, Police Officer II, and Police Officer III. Selection to and movement between the different levels is outlined in Police Department General Order 100-8.
Police Officer I: Positions at this level are entry-level with 0-2 years of experience in law enforcement, completed North Carolina's Basic Law Enforcement Training, be certified as a Law Enforcement Officer in accordance with the provisions of the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission or have the ability to achieve certification within one year of employment.
Police Officer II: Positions at this level are fully functioning officers with a minimum of 2 years of experience as a sworn local, state, or federal law enforcement officer, have completed North Carolina's Basic Law Enforcement Training, and have at least a General Certification.
Police Officer III: Positions at this level are veteran officers with a minimum of 4 years of experience as a sworn local, state, or federal law enforcement officers, have completed North Carolina's Basic Law Enforcement Training, and have attained their General Certification.

* Must possess a minimum of High School diploma or GED from an appropriately accredited institution, a probationary certification from the NC CJETSC as a commissioned police officer and show successful completion of the appointing agency's designated field training program for newly appointed Campus Police Officers.

Candidates must meet the minimum State standards for employment. Candidates must successfully complete a department orientation course, a department field training program during probationary period, and must satisfactorily complete the state mandated probationary period. The selected candidate must possess good oral and written communication skills and deal with the public and representatives of the criminal justice system in a professional manner. The candidate(s) for this position will be considered a 'MANDATORY' Employee as defined in University Regulation 04-20-07.

The primary purpose of the Electronics Specialist role is to identify and analyze issues related to utility plant control or metering systems and provide effective solutions. The Intermediate Care (IMC) Technician provides high-quality nursing care for a varied population of hospitalized small animals and exotic species within the Randall B. Terry, Jr. Companion Animal Medical Center. Essential Job Duties
NC State is seeking a visionary and strategic leader to serve as the Executive Director of Advancement Information and Technology (AIT). This individual will be responsible for stabilizing and optimizing the technological foundation of University Advancement, ensuring the continued effectiveness, security, and efficiency of a robust technology ecosystem that powers fundraising, alumni engagement, and communications at NC State.
In February 2025, University Advancement (UA) successfully launched a transformational CRM implementation-Kindsight Ascend on Salesforce CRM. This implementation marks the beginning of an exciting new phase aimed at stabilization, enhancement, and innovation within our advancement technology ecosystem. As NC State prepares for a future capital campaign, this role will play a pivotal part in ensuring that the advancement technology infrastructure, data strategy, and business processes are optimized to support ambitious fundraising and engagement goals.
The Executive Director of AIT reports to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Advancement Services and is the senior leader responsible for overseeing advancement application systems, analytics and data services, project management, and training. Leading an AIT team of 15 professionals, this role requires deep expertise in managing complex technological systems and an exceptional ability to effectively engage and communicate with functional users.
As a senior member of the Advancement Services Leadership Team, the Executive Director will work closely with University Advancement leadership, Chief Development Officers, OIT, Finance, and other university partners to align advancement technology strategies with NC State's broader institutional goals. This individual will oversee enterprise-level systems management, data governance, analytics, security, and process optimization, ensuring that NC State remains a national leader in Advancement Services and a benchmark for technological excellence in higher education fundraising.
Other Responsibilities
* Serve as a key member of the Advancement Services Leadership Team, providing strategic leadership aligned with Advancement Services and University Advancement's missions and objectives.
* Collaborate closely with the Associate Vice Chancellor to establish, implement, and maintain comprehensive strategic, tactical, and capital advancement technology plans, including resource allocation, budget management, staffing infrastructure, and related processes.
* Support the Associate Vice Chancellor in developing and articulating a clear vision for Advancement Services at NC State, regularly communicating it to stakeholders.
* Lead the evaluation, selection, implementation, and lifecycle management of systems supporting fundraising, constituent engagement, and advancement operations.
* Conduct ongoing research and evaluation of industry trends and emerging technologies, including developments within the Salesforce ecosystem, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, data analytics, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and automation tools, to support business requirements and enhance advancement technology systems.
* Oversee analytics and data strategy, encompassing data visualization, reporting, predictive modeling, artificial intelligence, and institutional surveys.
* Define, implement, and enforce policies, procedures, and guidelines consistent with Advancement and NC State's Data Governance framework, ensuring efficient, secure, and compliant use of advancement constituent data.
* Chair the University Advancement Data and Technology Governance Committee (UADTGOV) and represent University Advancement on university-wide governance committees.
* Engage, communicate, and negotiate effectively with campus partners regarding advancement technology, information, and process initiatives.
* Foster collaboration with central university departments such as OIT and Finance, ensuring cohesive integration and alignment with university-wide objectives.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Laboratory Research Technician to join our dynamic research team. This key role is essential for the smooth operation of our laboratory and the successful execution of our research activities. The ideal candidate will be adept at both laboratory management and a wide range of molecular and cellular biology techniques, while fostering a safe and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. General Laboratory Operations & Maintenance
* Inventory & Procurement: Oversee daily lab upkeep, including meticulous inventory management, proactive procurement of supplies, and soliciting quotes for new equipment.
* Preparation: Prepare, sterilize (via autoclaving), and maintain common reagents, media, and glassware.
* Equipment: Perform routine minor equipment repairs and maintenance, or coordinate effectively with external service providers for complex repairs.
2. Safety, Compliance, and Training
* Safety Protocols: Implement and rigorously monitor laboratory safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
* Hazard Management: Manage the proper handling of hazardous chemicals and ensure strict compliance with Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) waste disposal procedures.
