The starting salary for a teacher with a master's degree and no prior teaching experience is currently $75,017, or $66,733 for a teacher with a bachelor's degree and no previous teaching experience. On September 14, 2025, these salaries will increase to $77,455 and $68,902, respectively.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree

Compensation

Primary Responsibilities:
Provides swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum
Enforces safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe aquatic environment
Evaluates students' progress and completes documentation accurately and promptly
Engages with parents/guardians after each lesson to discuss swimmer development
Identifies and addresses student challenges using problem-solving and creativity
Assists with pool setup and cleanup, including storing equipment properly
Participates in required workshops and in-service training
Job Requirements and Skills:
Aquatics experience required (e.g., lifeguarding, swim team, swim instruction, water safety, competitive swimming, or similar)
Weekend availability required
Experience as a certified lifeguard, swim instructor/coach, camp counselor, or childcare provider is a plus strong ability to work with children in an energetic, supportive, and safety-focused environment
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Must pass background checks (provided as part of training)
High School Diploma/GED required; Some college preferred
Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications encouraged (training provided and rewarded with pay increases)
Must complete certification courses within 3 months of employment

Grammar School Classroom Assistant
The Grammar School Classroom Assistant has a key support role in and out of the classroom to help students succeed. The Classroom Assistant will assist in building a nurturing and safe learning environment for children by being responsible for supervising students in various settings such as during recess, lunch, and other unstructured times. Under the direction of the classroom teachers and GS Assistant Director, the Classroom Assistant is responsible for ensuring safety by enforcing school and classroom rules. The ideal candidate must enjoy working with children and treat all children with dignity and respect. To excel in this role, the candidate must be flexible, attentive, and be willing to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with the CGPS's program and philosophy.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist students in and out of the classroom
Supervise lunchroom and recesses and other duties
Participate or provide data on students and document observations about student behavior
Communicate proactively and professionally about students with teaching and non-teaching staff bearing in mind the impact of confidentiality regarding vulnerable persons
Support the school's culture and practices for inclusion
Conduct all work activities in a professional manner
Demonstrate commitment to working in a school community
QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong commitment to, belief in, and alignment with CGPS's mission and values
Flexible to assist the teachers in their duties
Strong time management skills; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

COMPENSATION:
The salary for this position is $40,000.
