PRN EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICI Responsible for performing semi-skilled work and supervising a small group of Marion County Probationers, Marion County and State Inmate Workers, and Court-assigned Community Services Workers and contract labor in cleaning litter from County roads and right of ways. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS * Supervises state and county inmate workers, community service workers and contract laborers in the daily task of cleaning litter from the county-maintained roads, rights-of-way, or other areas as assigned. * Reviews and acknowledges annually, by signature, the Marion County Sheriff's Office Rules and Regulations for Marion County Inmate Workers and ensures directives are strictly adhered assuring the integrity of the program. * Ensures that laborers are not left unattended at any time and checks vehicles for contraband on a daily basis. * Maintains a professional relationship with all workers. * Performs light maintenance and repair on assigned equipment. * Collects litter from county maintained right of ways. Organizes and sets up providing supervision of trustees for smooth conduction of such events. * Assists in other community clean-up events. * Attends classes and meetings for training certification and safety requirements. * Provides assistance in setting up and disassembling for county sponsored functions and events to boost employee moral or community relations. * Prepares daily documentations and report to ensure accurate monthly and annual tonnages, personnel counts, and mileage calculations for submissions to the BCC, sheriff, and judicial system. Job Description In preparing operating rooms, surgical technicians ensure that all of the equipment needed for the procedure is properly disinfected and assembled. They also check that the equipment is in working order. They place sterile solutions in areas where they can be easily reached by doctors. • To prepare patients for surgery, surgical technicians may clean, shave and disinfect the areas of a patient's body that will be operated on. They then move patients to the OR and position them on the operating table, using sterile surgical drapes to cover them. Monitoring patients' vital signs and observing their status is another job responsibility of a surgical technician. • During surgery, surgical technicians pass sterile surgical equipment, such as scalpels and forceps, to surgeons. They also might cut sutures, keep track of items like sponges and needles, operate lights and help dress a patient's wounds. Additionally, surgical techs are sometimes responsible for the preparation and disposal of lab specimens. • After surgery, a surgical technician generally transports a patient back to his or her room. He or she then returns to the OR to clean and prep for the next surgery. Travel: Surgical Technologist, CVOR Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Experience: 1 year Certifications: CERT-NBSTSA- CST on call 1-2 days per week and 1 weekend a month (day shift); Evening shift call is 1 weekend per month Weekend Requirement: on call for urgent/emergent cases Float requirement: MOR Estimated Pay Package: $2100 (including Stipend)
