Participates in activities that ensure the safe and efficient provision of surgical services to neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations. Refers unusual clinical problems to the registered nurse. The position reports to the Director of Surgical Services. Qualifications JOB QUALIFICATIONS Minimum level of Education: Education level equivalent to completion of a surgical scrub technology program required. Formal Training: Clinical competency in surgical scrub technology. Prior operating room experience preferred. Licensure, Certifications & Registration: Surgical scrub technology certification preferred. BLS certification required within 90 days of employment. Work Experience: Basic surgical scrub technology skills. 2 years of OR experience preferred. Intermediate knowledge of the nursing process. Basic computer skills. Basic instrument nomenclature.
