Job Summary and Qualifications
As an Open Heart Surgical Technologist, you will work under the direct supervision of the circulating OR RN to assist the operating surgeon. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other, and are looking for a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

You will manage instruments, equipment and supplies for all surgical procedures

Qualifications - External
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology
Experience in OR preferred
Must hold current certification in Surgical Technology
Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) is required
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

The purpose of this position is to respond to emergency calls to provide efficient and advanced care to the critically ill and injured, and to transport the patient safely to a medical facility. This class works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences.

Operating room technician job in Hinesville, GA
This position is for a surgical scrub technician whose responsibility is to perform surgical technician and GI technician duties for both elective and emergency procedures in a variety of specialty areas. Participates in activities that ensure the safe and efficient provision of surgical services to neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations. Refers unusual clinical problems to the registered nurse. The position reports to the Director of Surgical Services.
Qualifications
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum level of Education: Education level equivalent to completion of a surgical scrub technology program required.
Formal Training: Clinical competency in surgical scrub technology. Prior operatingroom experience preferred.
Licensure, Certifications & Registration: Surgical scrub technology certification preferred. BLS certification required within 90 days of employment.
Work Experience: Basic surgical scrub technology skills. 2 years of OR experience preferred. Intermediate knowledge of the nursing process. Basic computer skills. Basic instrument nomenclature. Knowledge of sterility and infection prevention.
