Purpose Statement Production Operator associates responsible for packaging raw bulk product into smaller packages in a safe, sanitary, cost-effective, and efficient manner. Protects the safety, hygiene and quality of the food, while meeting company quality standards. This is a first shift role, M-Th between 7a-530p EST Key Accountabilities and Outcomes * Housekeeping of machine area. * Verify bulk quantity and accuracy prior to start. * Make bags in accordance with customer requirements at fastest speed and best quality. * Bag label/Case label QC . * Daily feedback to Production Supervisor on Packers and any other issues. * Operators responsible for upkeep and maintenance of their own machines. MACHINES TURNED OFF WHEN NOT IN USE. * Bulk pallets are moved behind the production line back to inventory once complete. * Ensure only current production run's case labels are present. All other labels are removed from the area. ACTIVITES: Adhere to your assigned production line to avoid cross contamination of product. Completes logs Run Start Log and Machine Pre-op Checklist daily. Use OS to know the day's plan. Verify bulk product staged is enough before starting the machine. Make sure the machine area is clean all the time and tools are stored properly. Make sure bag labels are corrected and straight. Send picture of bag label to "Model Bag" text group. Make sure case labels are applies immediately and have correct information. Before end of shift make all cases are sealed and labeled. Make sure the machine and area is clean at the end of shift. If run is complete place white cone on bulk pallet so inventory associate can return to inventory. If run is not complete leave bulk pallet in place. Submit completed Run Start Log and Machine Pre-Op checklist to the QA Supervisor. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Will be required to perform tasks such as lifting up to 55 pounds, walking, standing, climbing, reaching, stooping, pulling, pushing, grasping, and balancing as part of production activities out on the floor. Will be required to see and hear well enough to understand Associates questions and respond to their concerns. Will be required to work in freezers, near noisy machinery, near confined spaces as part of daily production activities. Food Safety Responsibilities: Follow all GMP's, food safety, and quality policies. Report all food safety incidents such as GMP violations, ingredient and product contamination, metal detector, screen, or magnet deficiencies, glass breakage, and pest harborage. Monitor product quality and food safety throughout all stages of production, recording such results as required, and reporting deficiencies to Supervision. About the role The Loader Operator will operate front-end loaders, roll-off trucks, forklifts and other heavy equipment to push waste into the tipping pit, separate and load non-processable materials from tipping floors or pits, and transports material to various other facility buildings from the tip floor and metal storage areas. This individual will load ash into trucks from the ash building, unders/primary/secondary soils from designated storage areas, biomass material from designated building, belt and floor rejects from RTI, and ferrous processed by DMR from west bunker. Adheres to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Quality Test Methods (QTMs), and Quality Assurance (QA) processes. Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that the folded documents are correctly inserted into envelopes and that all inserts are accurate and complete Follow established procedures and guidelines to maintain security and confidentiality of sensitive documents Prepare and tray each job correctly for delivery to the Post Office with appropriate paperwork. Ultimately assume responsibility for the performance, process, and quality of the assigned sorter/verifier. Properly communicates finishing/quality concerns, service level statuses, and equipment performance issues to the appropriate personnel. Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as necessary to maintain optimal efficiency Report any machine malfunctions or major issues to maintenance personnel for timely resolution Perform routine maintenance tasks on machines, including cleaning, and troubleshooting minor issues Ensure the accuracy of sorting and insertion based on predefined criteria Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment What kind of person should you be? Reliable - you are punctual for your scheduled shifts, have a great attendance record and are flexible to work Overtime when required A Team Player - you enjoy working as part of a team to meet daily production volumes and requirements for client jobs A great communicator - you communicate professionally, both written and verbal Self-motivated and organized - you are able to multi-task and perform in a fast-paced environment Experience with material handling equipment, working in a warehouse environment, picking material Experience with a Baylor or Compactor would be an asset What skills do you need? 2 years or more of related experience preferred Ability to perform manual labor - lifting up to 50 lbs may be required High school diploma or equivalent Basic mechanical aptitude to perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues Technical knowledge of machinery Multi-tasking abilities Prior experience operating folding and insertion machines is preferred, but not mandatory Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a high-volume production environment Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet production targets and deadlines Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and report any issues or concerns Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weight boxes What can you expect from us?
