6:45 AM - 3:15 PM -Monday - Friday $22.00
10:45pm to 7:15am - Sunday to Thursday - $23.50/hr
Qualifications:
Sound judgment for use in machine troubleshooting and product disposition.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
High School Diploma, or GED with 1 to 3 years of manufacturing experience preferred; or Technical Certificate with associated relevant experience.
Work Environment.
Work involves use of manufacturing equipment or close proximity to equipment. May be exposed to biohazards and/or chemicals.
Work environment can range from clean room and proper gowning requirements to a production area that is open, potentially noisy, and with moving equipment.
Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. and push/pull up to 80 lbs.
Recurring physical demands include standing, walking, stooping, crouching, climbing, bilateral motion involving hands, wrists, and upper body.
Concentrated visual attention to perform checks on products and components.
Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time.
Position Summary
The Equipment Operator II is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of assigned equipment, ensuring continued operation through interpretation of and response to machine faults, and line clearance needs.
Perform start-up operation from power off/cold state; complete equipment and product paperwork, such as traceability and start-up checklist.
Conduct Level I required preventive maintenance tasks.
Participate in changeovers to include line clearance, system transactions, and associated documentation.
Perform work order set ups in electronic batch record, data acquisition and inventory management systems
Pull test samples for Quality Control in process inspection, remove completed production from machine and place in finished goods totes.
Fill component Hoppers/Bowls as required to maintain production.
Perform minor troubleshooting to diagnose machine performance issues; escalate to assigned Technician when required to ensure resolution. Perform line clearance activities and return equipment to proper operation.
Update hourly production boards with production and efficiency numbers; note issues that prevented goal attainment (downtime, waste, quality, etc.)
Submit machine repair tags to identify issues requiring support services.
Ensure that product not meeting quality specifications is processed under non-conformance procedures/requirements.
Maintain 5S standards in assigned work areas.
Model company values and support strategic initiatives.
Perform other related duties as assigned or required.

Position Summary:
The Equipment Operator performs duties relevant to safely and effectively operating heavy equipment in the course of daily operations. The Equipment Operator also makes sure the operations floor is clear of obstacles, as well as that traffic flows smoothly, efficiently, and safely to maintain production.
Your Role:
Safely and effectively operate heavy equipment to maintain productivity in the effective operation of the transfer starting or material recovery facility during daily operations.
Ensures that the operation area is consistently clear of obstacles and that traffic is flowing smoothly.
Performs general house duties in assigned areas to ensure safe, clean, and efficient operation of the facility.
Keeps the entire floor clean and maintained by use of bobcats, front-end loaders, excavators, and/or similar equipment such as industrial forklifts, man lifts, and skid steer-type loaders.
Loads and monitors the conveyor system with a loader based on the facility.
Load and unload trucks with a skid steer and forklift based on a daily schedule.
Performs routine maintenance checks on mobile equipment and facility equipment and reports malfunctions to the Supervisor.
Work all assigned shifts from the scheduled start to the scheduled end time.
Take an active role in the improvement of safety and health in the workplace.
Reads, understands, and applies information such as lockout/tagout procedures, safety rules, job hazard analyses, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
Participate in all required Company meetings, including weekly safety meetings.
Maintains reasonable, regular, punctual attendance consistent with Company policies, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other federal, state, and local standards.

Responsibilities
Conduct routine inspections of products during various manufacturing stages.
Perform tests on raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Document inspection results and communicate findings to relevant team members.
Identify and report any quality issues or deviations from established standards.
Collaborate with production teams to implement corrective actions and improve processes.
Assist in the development and maintenance of quality control procedures and protocols.
Participate in internal audits and assist with external audits as needed.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in quality control preferred.
Proven experience in a quality control role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
Ability to interpret technical documents, blueprints, and quality standards.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
Pay is $22/hr
Hours are Monday - Friday 7:50am - 4:20pm.

* Able to operate multiple heavy machines including:
* front end loader able to carry two cubic yards or larger;
* 10-wheel dump truck to haul sand, gravel, tools or equipment and displace or unload sand, gravel and materials while in motion or still;

* roll offs and rollers for leveling dirt
* small bulldozers (72 hp and below) for moving dirt and difgging

HIRING SALARY:
All Heavy Equipment Operator employees are considered essential employees and must respond to the college during emergency situations (weather, county declarations etc.)
* As per the Association of Municipal Employees (AME) contract, the starting annual salary is $37,793. (Grade 13). Position is eligible for medical benefits as offered by the College.
* Salary in accordance with Suffolk County civil service and AME contract and is non-negotiable.
