JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for operating or assisting in a direct mail manufacturing environment with a focus on reduction in cost related errors, exceeding client expectation, and driving a safe workplace.
Responsibilities and Activities:
Sorts mail off the end of a production machine.
Sorts and insert tags into mail trays.
Rewinds rolls of stamps for use on the production machine.
Uses a pallet jack to move finished pallets of mail.
Meets and exceeds production standards and maintains customer quality requirements.
Communicates job status and production concerns/issues during shift change. Follows all safety policies and procedures.
Adheres to all current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Communicates with the Operator and/or Supervisor on any problems on the production machine.

Transfer completed products into containers of various sizes and types (1 qt cans to tankers). Identify and apply the correct information on the containers and or proper documents while following all fill off and safety procedures
Fill off approved batches ranging from 1 gallon to 5000 gallons into the proper shipping containers
Measure the amount of product into the correct container for proper yield, by weighing and/or measuring the weight of the material in the containers with the tools provided
Once containers are filled and all openings are closed and tightened, check for leaks around the ring, bungs, and chimes
Properly complete the batch ticket as instructed, label all containers, and number them in the sequence they were filled off
Once the batch ticket has been approved and signed by the supervisor, send the containers to the shipping department along with the batch ticket
Properly dispose of filters; wash out the pump; wash the tanks, filter housing, and hoses with the appropriate cleansing material
Properly label and stage all cleaning material in proper areas
Properly label and stencil all containers to satisfy customer and shipment requirements
Perform area housekeeping duties per expectations
Other duties as needed to complete production process

Cleans school building interiors
Sweeps, vacuums, buffs, strips, waxes, mops, and dust mops assigned areas.
Removes trash from rooms and buildings and puts in containers and dumpster.
Scrubs and cleans toilets including mirrors, wash basins, urinals, commodes, slop sinks, etc.; fills tissue, towel and soap dispensers; disinfects as needed.
Dusts furniture, walls, window sills and other woodwork; washes desk tops and student chairs.
Washes windows, walls and woodwork, dusts venetian blinds.
Cleans drinking fountains.
Polices school grounds and picks up debris, and empties trash.
Secures windows and classroom doors daily and checks alarms; turns lighting off and on as appropriate.
Cleans storage rooms and equipment and orders, unloads and stores supplies and deliveries.
Follows task sheet as provided by supervisor.
Relocates classroom furniture and books as needed.
Removes snow during inclement weather.
Performs related tasks as required.

Second Shift: 6pm-6amA Day in the Life:
Comply with all safety requirements resulting in zero safety violations. This includes participating in all safety related activities such as safety talks, behavioral based safety observations, audits, etc.
Operate, monitor and troubleshoot equipment used during daily manufacturing
Perform changeovers and disassemble, assemble, and clean machinery
Understand and execute daily production run schedules, resolve quality issues, and report any unresolved issues immediately
Stage packaging area, manually lift and load 55lbs or more of material into equipment, bag/box finished product and prepare for shipment and distribution
Operate forklift to transport raw materials and finished product to designated areas
Operate hand tools to effectively degate or deflash materials
Empty trash and waste into compactor or dumpster
Raw material management including organizing, handling, weighing and measuring
Follows standard operating and LOTO procedures for all assigned tasks
Performs all standard QC tests and accurately record production data
Performs equipment maintenance tasks (PM'S, troubleshoot, repair, etc.), where applicable.
Maintain a clean work environment and all tools and equipment are in the proper location and storage units.
